Started at Montezuma and worked our way along the lake down to Ithaca. This first stop was the best. Most friendly of all the places we visited on the trail without the attitude you often get when visiting some tasting rooms. Some beautiful views along the way but many of the waterfalls are short on the water.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review! Unfortunately, the extreme drought conditions is taking a toll on our beautiful scenery! Hope to see you along the trail again! :) More

Best for leisurely traveling: do not miss Tiffany decorated church in town of Auburn, local B&Bs, places connected to suffragette movement and many more. Enjoy going down to Ithaca, sampling local wines at multiple wineries along the beautiful road. Do not forget creameries with home made ice cream. Allow some time for visiting parks with dramatic waterfalls, windy trails and... More

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. Many of the wineries do have amazing views. I do want to point out, that although Wagner's does have an amazing view, they're located along Seneca Lake. More

Every year we return to the Finger Lakes, mostly for a college reunion, but also to visit the wonderful wineries. Whether you drive north on Rt 89 from Ithaca to Seneca Falls, or south, there are numerous beautiful wineries along the way. There are some unbelievable views from some. A delightful way to sample some good wines and have a... More

Many wineries featuring grapes not commonly grown. There are small to medium producers, all of which are happy to meet you in the tasting room.

The Cayuga wine trail is very easy and well marked. There is even an app for your device that you can download. Many of the wineries are close together, some offer dining but most do not. Tastings will run 4-6$ for about 5 pours of different wines. We did think the pours were skimpy at most places. It was fun... More

Didn't find a lot that compared to the wines on Seneca and Keuka Lakes, but thoroughly enjoyed Sunday afternoon at Hosmer Winery with music by Tribal Revival from noon to 3. Played some classic and very well done Stones, Dead, Knopfler. Wine was very good, too. Go.

We spent 5 fantastic days touring wineries, taking part in tastings, talking to wine makers and grape growers, and restaurant owners who were all passionate about using local products to help the local economy. I found people to be friendly, helpful, educated about their products, and willing to share their story. I would definitely make a return trip.

My husband and I have done the trail several times. The wine is very good and the people are fun and friendly. Depending on which places you venture into your experience will vary. Some places have food and dips and salad dressings others are strictly wine and still others have restaurants and wine accessories. My favorite time to go is... More

Stayed in Watkins Glen and decided to try some of the wineries along Cayuga Lake. Much more rural compared to Seneca but definite gems along the lake. Loved Knapp Winery; had lunch in their Vineyard Restaurant; sat outside; very good, upscale menu. Also, Sheldrake Winery; beautiful grounds and view of lake; many great wines to try. Can be a bit...
