If you're into fruit based sweeter wines this is for you. Personally I prefer drier aromatic ones like Riesling and Gewurztraminer to the fruit wines. As far as their Rieslings are concerned they lose to other wineries on Cayuga and Seneca lakes. Not all of them but certainly a significant percentage. What's more surprising was a gift shop being a... More

Returned here with friends as we enjoyed it so much last year. Lucky enough to again have Mary Jo do the pouring for us. She is a valuable asset as she is informative and entertaining. Enjoyed the wines and didn't realize until we got home, but we bought the same wines this year as we did last year. Great location... More

It seemed like such a fun festive place with a band playing outside and after a wait I got my selection sheet. The woman would come pour my tasting and leave and never said a word about the wine nor did she smile. There are no vinyards surrounding it and they had a lot of choices at high prices but... More

As the finger Lakes Wine Region is know for very good semi-sweet white wines, it was a pleasant surprise to fine a winery that also had very good dry wines. While they all advertise dry red wines, they don't cut it. Montezuma has very good dry reds which my wife and I enjoyed.

We returned here after several years, and had a great wine tasting! Great variety of fruit wines. Staff was very knowledgable. We left with a full case of various wines.

With so many wineries in the finger lakes, it's hard to keep them straight! Montezuma had a great selection of wines and the distillery just added to the mix. Very friendly atmosphere. Definitely worth the time to stop and pretty conveniently located no matter where you are staying.

The staff, especially Denise bent over backwards to show us their excellent wines. We wouldn't have bought so much if it wasn't for Denise. The wines were good, especially diamond and the ice Apple wine. The combination of good wine and great staff, made it an unforgettable and enjoyable stop

Found this winery by chance, and we are glad we did! Our original plans fell through, so we decided to stop in for a tasting. I am glad we did. Janet was in charge of our tasting, and she was so knowledgeable about all of the wines. She has a great personality and we enjoyed our tastings very much. There... More
