I have been a WolfTrap associate for many years. The offerings have change in their attractiveness. Lately, I find the Barns Theatre a wonderful experience. In previous years, I have attended a number of NSO concerts and celebrity shows. Parking is a trying experience in...More

If you are looking for a great summer venue to see a concert, The Wolf Trap should be on your list. The summer line up is diverse and interesting. Easy to get to, just off the highway close to Washington DC. A bit messy getting...More

What a way to spend Memorial Day weekend. I got to see the President's Own Marine Corps Band for free at Wolf Trap. This was my first time here and I hope it won't be my last. Only thing that was disappointing was the price...More

Wolf Trap is an amazing venue for live performances. There are picnic tables at the park outside the ticketed area and the National Park Service permits patrons to bring their own food and drinks to the lawn sections which makes it very convenient for that...More

We love going to Wolf Trap and sitting on the lawn. The performances are first rate and the lawn is a great place to have a picnic and a bottle of wine while enjoying performances, particularly the music.

This is another split review. The act, Sheryl Crow, was fantastic last night and deserving of the 5 rating. The venue, however, specifically the horrendous traffic control (or lack of) deserves about a 2. There is only one way in and out from the highway,...More

Not only is it great to sit on the lawn with your picnic, but the under cover seating is very good with excellent sight lines. There is always a free concert to kick off the summer (with the U.S. Marine Band) and they have a...More

We made our annual pilgrimage to Wolf Trap for Garrison Keillor's Prairie Home Companion Salute to veterans. We were not disappointed. This year's show included a little more military emphasis than some of the prior years, which was most appreciated. The sold out theatre and...More

Not sure about a buffet but you can picknick on the grass. Try to get there early for a good spot. Ps- bring your own adult beverages as theirs cost a fortune!

We have not had any issue with mosquitoes, but perhaps take repellant, just in case. It is wonderful there, that noone judges your attire. You can go casual as you like or dress up. You see a little of both. I do suggest... More
