We saw two concerts here in July (Mellencamp and Aretha) and the venue is adequate though it lacks screens to view the performance and the sound system seemed temperamental. Parking is easy and well organized.

This was my second visit to The Wolf Trap. What an amazing venue. You can have a real VIP experience or visit on a shoestring and have an amazing experience with both. Lawn tickets are around $40 for huge stars like Diana Ross, Aretha Franklin...More

Purchase a battery powered fan with neck cord for $12.00 and the pavilion cup for $5.00. Fill cup with ice and bring a bottle of water with you. Definitely helps alleviate the warm conditions some nights in the seated areas.

First time at Wolf Trap and wasn't sure what to expect from an outdoor rendition of Tosca. But was a very pleasant evening, the weather wasn't oppressive, the mosquitos almost non-existent and the performance of good quality. An altogether enjoyable evening. Get there early (gates...More

I have been to many performances here both inside the house and on the lawn. If the weather cooperates, there is nothing better than grabbing a group of friends, packing a picnic and enjoying the event on the lawn. You are permitted to bring food...More

As all the promotional materials will tell you, Wolf Trap is the only national park for the performing arts, but don't assume that means it is snooty or inaccessible for regular folks. In fact, Wolf Trap is a favorite for all ages and tastes. I...More

Not sure about a buffet but you can picknick on the grass. Try to get there early for a good spot. Ps- bring your own adult beverages as theirs cost a fortune!

We have not had any issue with mosquitoes, but perhaps take repellant, just in case. It is wonderful there, that noone judges your attire. You can go casual as you like or dress up. You see a little of both. I do suggest... More
