The venue was perfect for a wedding. The ceremony took place in front of the stage then everyone moved to the bar area for cocktail hour. While the guests were in the other room the performance space was changed over from ceremony to dining room. A wedding of about 130 people fit very comfortably in the space. The staff was... More

Our travel to Virginia came too late to view a concert, but it was obvious this would be a marvelous site to view a concert. Just walking the grounds was beautiful.

Great musical entertainment. The venue is outdoors under the stars and features performances from a wide range to talented musicians and performers. Seating is available on a grassy hillside or under cover in traditional chairs. A perfect evening for a lawn blanket, snacks and good listening. Easily accessible from VA route 7.

Good venue for concert. Hot in the summer time as you would expect from an outdoor venue. The sight lines from the seats are good. If you have lawn seats, get there early. The food choices are not very good, so eat before you get there or bring a picnic.

Have seen several shows here over the years, but the last concert (Don Henley) was a bit furstrating..... Parking is hit of miss....we found STREET parking which was great. But local police were directing us and dozens of other vehicles into a lot -- that was already FULL! 30-40 vehicles dricing around trying to find non-existent parking spots. Alcohol -... More

First time visiting this venue. What an awesome place what an awesome concert the only thing that I can see that would be negative at all would be there's no air stirring in the amphitheater. But that was just because it was a hot evening also. Facilities was awesome we'll definitely go back again thanks Wolf Trap for a great... More

This is one of the best outdoor venues in the country. It is not massive and always comfortable. The acts are eclectic throughout the summer where you can hear quality music of all genres. A favorite is always the National Symphony Orchestra playing cartoon music or Star Wars. I prefer the acts from the 70 & 80's. It is a... More

Sit on the lawn and someone sits in front. Or, things slide down the hill. Sit inside on seats placed way too close. IMO the seats are good for children, but not adults. Very frustrating in the Park Service has workers directing people where to park. When it's time to leave there are no Park Service workers anywhere. It's total... More

The Filene Center at Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts is the blue print that should be used for all mid sized outdoor music venues.Holding about 7,000, there is a lower level seating bowl and a sloped lawn area for viewing between the lower level and the upper/balcony seating. We were fortunate to have front row center stage box... Saw our first concert at Wolf Trap's Filene Center last night. Spoiler Alert: Great Experience! We were traveling a distance to get there and wanted to avoid the madness that is the DC Beltway rush hour, so we arrived at 4 pm for an 8 pm show. Thankfully, they allow people to picnic beforehand, so we sat just outside the... More
