After extensive travelling to Civil War battlefields in the Eastern and Southern United States, I finally made it to my own home state's only national battlefield park at Wilson's Creek. This battle doesn't have the notoriety as some of the big battlefield parks like Gettysburg,...More

My husband is the one that likes Civil War sites, but the story behind this battle gets everyone interested. Rangers and volunteers are born story tellers. A gift to make history come alive.

Beautiful place for a bike ride around the 4.9 mile road tour route. Lots of great place to stop and rest as you ride up and down the hills.

We stopped here on recommendation of someone we met at our hotel. It was a stop well worth the time. The movie gave a good overview of the civil war battle here and the park is well documented.

Nice visitor's center. The 30-minute movie is a must-see to learn about the battlefield. Helps adults and kids understand and appreciate exactly what happened on the site and its importance in American history. Four-mile drive through the battlefield site with walking/biking paths. Well-kept place.
