I am a lifelong Cincinnati resident and am old enough to remember when venturing into OTR was not worth the trip; there were few eateries and the parks and bars were typically only safe for known locals. The area today is open and much safer...More

If lack of substance and cute designed restuarant space is your thing then don't miss Over the Rhine. From the reviews great food abounds. From my experience, a lot of concepts exist as well as hit-or-miss foods and questionable service rule the day. I'm not...More

If you are reading from the burbs, please come on down. Leave the chains and the traffic. Park in downtown inexpensively and just walk around OTR. There are lots of stores and restuarants and bars. Look on trip adivsor to get ideas. Once you do...More

If you're visiting Cincinnati and you want to know where the hip, cool, fun restaurants and nightlife are, then head to Over-the-Rhine. Some 20-ish years ago, the place was basically a giant crime scene, but not at all these days. Pizza recommendation: Good Fellas, Bar:...More

Definitely the coolest neighborhood that we visited during our weekend trip to Cincinnati. (Also a totally gentrified neighborhood, but I'm not sure that a TripAdvisor review is the right place for commentary on that.) Parking is rough, but if you can find it (or walk...More

Over-the-Rhine is a neiberhood settlement in downtown Cincinnatti. It was originally settled by Germans. At some point the Germans left to go to the suburbs and the neighborhood got a bit run down. Now it is coming back to life with a gusto, with a...More

When I was growing up, Over-the-Rhine was one of the most dangerous parts of Cincinnati. A few years ago, the place started to get cleaned up and now, it’s one of the most desirable places to live and play. The place is filled with small...More

I had hoped this would be an area filled with cool shops and galleries, but it was not. There are many different restaurants and bars, but that wasn't what I was looking to find.

I went to this place alone. OTR is a long street having historic buildings with contemporary cafes and shops. It is a very vibrant and safe place, but if you somehow go away a bit more, or try to walk in streets parallel to OTR,...More

Is it a day out or evening? I have never had a problem with safety in OTR. I work very close by, I always recommend to stay in the group. It' s really fun with great places to eat and drink. Places are next door to each... More
