I know that sour beers do not fit everyone's taste, but it's worth a visit. I have been able to get certain flavor beers that they brew and sell at local liquor stores near me, but not even a 10th of what they put out there. So we decided to take a road trip to St Patrick's church basement where Urban Artifacts Brewery tap room is located in Cincinnati. Just a quick tip, avoid going through the front entrance if you can because they have a side street entrance that is street level and much easier to enter the tap room. Now, this beer is not inexpensive but is awesome if you like sour beers. Got there on a Saturday at about 2:00 pm and it was about 25% full with people. We tried two flights of different beers, which were all good but some better than others. I am sure the fruit they use is expensive, and it tastes like they use a lot.
Check it out. They even have confessionals in the tap room. There is even another brewery across the street and a lot of restaurants nearby. I ended up hauling a bunch of the beers I can't get in central northern Indiana. They do ship their beers to certain states but not indiana. Enjoy!

This is a fruit beer / sours microbrewery that specializes and does it at the top tier. If looking for other style then this is not the place. They do have 1 guest tap lager. Cool church setup with seating inside and park like outside seating with shade and breeze at times. Staff was very informative and friendly. No flights available but can get samples. If fruit beer fan or want to explore that style come here. The range in flavor, style and heavyness as in some being wine like but beer. Food truck to meet snack or hunger needs. A great stop and will go again. Just go and try them as the variety and flavor is impressive.

Their brews are some of the best in the state.
Facility is in an old church. Parking is a little wonky. They have a couple of pull-off sections of streets running parallel to the main road (like bus waiting lanes) and I was able to sneak into one of them. There are also a couple of side streets. But no parking lot that I saw.
No food at this facility and I didn't see any posts about food trucks (recently anyway). But it is about a 5 minute walk from a few eclectic places to grab a bite to eat. So not that big a deal. Taproom only brews were exciting. But after a while they started running together a bit since they are all the same style. So I don't recommend flights here. Or at least any more than one. Just grab couple of pints and return again if you are lucky to live nearby.

Horrible entrance ramp for handicapped. Very unsafe, question legality. Only grandchilds marriage, had to be there.
Had to have large men carry practically me up in wheelchair and going out very dangerous and scary. She was
told at booking there would be an elevator by recception time.

Great space to enjoy a local craft beer! They are known for their sour beers. They also have a small menu offering wine. Great outdoor space to enjoy your drink with small fire pits. Although the place was not packed, it still took a while to get the bartender's attention. Only reason why I did not give them an excellent rating.

Urban Artifact offers a number of outstanding fruit and sour beers, both on tap and in cans to carry home. All of the house beers were excellent. They also have a selection of seltzers if you're into those, which I'm not, so your mileage may vary there. Service was fast, friendly, and knowledgable. A must for beer lovers.

While up at the Dayton Beer company this past weekend, I learned about this brewery in Cincinnati. I had never heard of the place and so I looked them up and read about the beers that they had on tap and became very intrigued. I enjoy trying different styles of beers rather than staying in a comfort zone and not venturing out. That being said, these beers probably aren't for everyone since many are in the Gose style and even better were prepared from yeast captured right in the area. I don't like flights since to really get to know a beer one must have a pint or more (in my opinion). I started out with the Clothesline (farmhouse and one of the wild yeast beers), continued with a Bluesfest (very tasty amber), and took home a growler of Keypunch (keylime and salt flavors). I have to say that the flavors were very unique but worked great together. The lower pH of these beers probably aren't for everyone, but definitely worth a try if you enjoy beer. I was there early so I missed the music, but they appear to have a number of different music events and a full bar for the non-beer drinkers. Definitely will return and try some of the other beers that they have available.

I love beer, I love funky, wild ales and sours, and I now love Urban Artifact. Visiting during a Saturday around Noon with my boyfriend, and the bar had plenty of space and a friendly bartender. If you enjoy experimental ales, like Keylime Gose, or a Brett DIPA, you'll enjoy this place. The space is unpretentious, a little dingy and dark, but definitely home to some great beers.

My husband and I stopped in here while visiting the area for the weekend. We were very happy with the selection and quality of the beers. It was a quieter day since it was a Friday afternoon. The space is interesting being in a church although the bar area is in the basement/first level so it doesn't seem too weird. Definitely a great stop for anyone who enjoys sours!

how ACCESSIBLE IS THE CHURCH WEDDING site for getting wheelchairs or mobility scooters into.

The taproom at the lower level is fully wheelchair accessible, including restrooms. We recommend parking on Turrill St and using the entrance on the east side.
The upstairs event space is unfortunately only accessible via historic staircases.
