The Christ Church Cathedral is an Episcopal Church at the corner of 4th Street and Sycamore. The Parish house was built in 1907 in the Gothic Revival style . The sanctuary features many huge stained glass windows that are amazing to see. The Church is well maintained with a friendly staff to greet you . There is also a cafe on the first floor as soon as you walk in on the right . This is a gem in downtown Cincinnati.

Music is an integral part of Christ Church Cathedral. Their choirs offer a variety of superb literature from the Anglican cathedral tradition and beyond; and our organ gives voice to emotions ranging from exuberant praise to deep lament.
But they also participate in the rich cultural life of Cincinnati, offering a series of chamber concerts, organ recitals, weekly Music Live at Lunch performances and other concerts.
Other beloved traditions include services of Choral Evensong, an annual performance of Benjamin Britten's Ceremony of Carols, a Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols on the Sunday before Christmas and the popular Boar's Head & Yule Log Festival.

Although this is not the denomination I choose, this is a beautiful building to visit. They are about to install two custom built, soon to be world renown organs.

This is an old and beautiful Cathedral right in downtown Cincinnati. The stained glass windows are awesome. When we visited the organist was practicing.

Our hotel was on 4th street so this church was close by. It's lovely from the outside with dark red brink exterior. Inside the chapel is adorned with hanging art birds from the ceiling - very pretty. I wouldn't make a trip here specifically, but if you're in the area then stop by

Heyday stately Church in Cathedral. Gothic kind of architecture. But well-maintained. Now there's a Café in the first

The Christ Church of Cincinnati annual Boar's Head Festival is spectacular! The Boar's Head Festival has been produced for over 75 years and has evolved into a wonderful Christmas Tradition. The Old English Traditions are put to music, choral and religious traditions, with authentic costumes while the actors are cast with the greatest detail. The actors really look like the King and the royal court with the court jesters and the live Falcon. What a Holiday treat!

This cathedral is friendly and supports diversity. The dean is an engaging preacher. But the highlight of the service is whenever the choir sings. One would think they are transported to Westminster Abbey or Kings College when hearing their impeccable English choral sound. I was transported to heavenly delight.

Christ Church has a tradition that has gone on for decades. It occurs just after the New Year. It is TOUGH to get tickets to because they are given out free, weeks in advance. You have to get to the church and participate in an early morning lottery type event to get your tickets. ONCE YOU DO GO YOU WILL HAVE A RARE TREAT! The music and pageantry are very, very unique! It brings meaning to Christmas of centuries ago. We went this year and were brought to tear! Just wonderful way to finish celebrating some of the meaning of Christmas.

We were visiting and just wanted to take pictures of the beautiful organ pipe display and cathedral architecture. Everyone we encountered were kind and helpful while allowing us to take a few pictures and be on our way which is more than we could say for those we met at other area cathedrals. We got to listen to the organist practicing as well which made our visit even more enjoyable.
