Our daughter was getting married in Cincinnati October 4th and we had many out of town guests arriving for a long weekend. I saw on Trip Advisor that Scott had running tours of the city so I gave him a call. He adapted his running tour to a walking tour both Friday and Saturday to accommodate our guests. He was AMAZING! His knowledge of the city, likable personality, and willingness to take our guests from the BANKS to OVER THE RHINE pointing out sports highlights, restaurants, historical buildings, and the history behind the city was extremely interesting.
I highly recommend Scott not only to out of town guests but to the locals as well. He made us all feel welcome and I believe Scott is a true asset to the city of Cincinnati. Thanks for making our weekend informative and enjoyable!

I went on the Downtown/OTR run during my second full day living in Cincinnati. It was an incredible introduction to Cincinnati and the surrounding area.
Scott is a fountain of information about local history, art, architecture, commerce, and restaurants. He knows the city very well. He takes his job and role seriously; his experience as a docent in area museums is obvious.
More importantly, he clearly loves talking and teaching about the city and this makes the tour a fun, entertaining, and educational adventure. I think that the city should pay him to promote the city- perhaps with a grant from the 3CDC.
Not to be overlooked is the fact that this can be great exercise. Scott can speak fluently even at a rapid running pace so the group can determine how fast or slow it wants to run and how often to take breaks.
I recommend the tours for 1) out-of-town businesspeople in the early morning before work, 2) tourists later in the morning, and 3) locals on the weekend.
On a personal note- thank you Scott for making me even more excited about living in Cincinnati!!

I had the chance to run with Scott (founder of the Cincinnati Running Tours Company) on a custom tour of the downtown area. As a lifelong resident of Cincinnati, patron of the arts, and history buff, He was able to share a wealth of information about all sorts of things I would otherwise have never known. We ran past monuments, historical sights, Bicentennial Park, the Great American Ball Park (home of the Cincinnati Reds), Paul Brown Stadium (home of the Bengals), performing arts venues, cathedrals, major banks, and on, and on. We ran across the "Purple People Bridge" to Newport, Ky and then back again and up "over the Rhine." We saw paddle wheel steamships on the Ohio River and I even learned the history of the "Flying Pig!" What a fun time! As it turns out, a running tour is probably the best way to see the downtown area. Although it is a bit hilly and will give you a good work out, Scott timed the stops and his explanation of the sights really well so that you can catch a bit of a break between running segments of the tour. I had never been to Cincinnati before, or had taken a running tour like this, but it was the perfect way to see the city. If you ever go to Cincinnati, you MUST do this tour! Scott even sold me on running the Flying Pig Marathon, which I will probably run next year!

Scott led a group of 30+ docents from cities throughout the US and Canada while we were attending a conference in Cincinnati. His tour was one of the highlights of our 3-day meeting, and admittedly, he had a tough audience to impress! Scott is energetic and incredibly informative. We got such a great overview of the history and architecture of downtown Cincinnati. What an impressive city! He even took those who were interested for lunch down by the river where we could enjoy the views and sample some of the local beers. After Scott's tour, I was able to find my way around the downtown and do some further exploring. I'd highly recommend this tour to visitors!

We had a group of about 31 people go on a walking tour of Cincinnati. Scott has so much information about the city. He made it come alive with history....how Cincinnati got it's name, different eras of time in the city from revolutionary, pioneer, Indians, to Civil War, German immigration groups, stock market crash, WWI, and WWII. We even learned about the actual flying pigs here in the City. He made it fun and even though it's a lot of walking, you get chances to rest. He loves the city and made all of us love the city, too!

What a great way to experience downtown Cincinnati! Scott is a laid back tour guide who exudes passion and respect for our Queen City. He has such a diverse and vast knowledge base of Cincinnati history and architecture. My husband and I even took our two teenagers along for the tour and they both enjoyed themselves. Scott taught them things we never could have. I would recommend this to anyone looking to renew their understanding or love of our great city!

This was an excellent experience. A really fun and unique way to see the city. Even after living here for many years--and doing a number of other tours--my husband and I still learned a lot of new and interesting info. We ended up walking the tour instead of running, but it was still beyond our expectations. Scott was very friendly and knowledgeable, and he went above and beyond in accommodating our schedule. We brought our one year old son with us in a jogging stroller, and I think he had fun too! We would highly recommend this tour to both visitors and locals who like to be active.

This was the most informative tour we've had in Cincinnati and we've tried quite a variety of them! Scott shared some wonderful knowledge of the city which only grew our love of Cincy. We learned so many new fun facts and haven't stopped raving about it to our friends! Also, what a great way to get some exercise in while having fun! Scott was super flexible and accommodating leading up to scheduling our tour and even the day of. He cares about the people he is showing around and it's obviously how much he loves giving the tours! We are so grateful for this experience (which was a gift from our sister)!

What a great way to explore the Queen City!! I highly recommend this! It is such a great and fun way to explore Cincinnati! My brother and I ran the OTR run! Scott was an amazing tour guide! He was so enthusiastic and knowledgable about the city and it's history. I learned so much and kept saying to my brother, "Wow! I never knew that!" He gave us so many great ideas and new places to go out and visit! I am so excited to do another run and learn even more!
