I love going to the Playhouse--it has a wide variety of shows for many tastes, including standards and even some of my favorite type: edgy, "geo-socio" that are risk-taking and provocative. Always a great performance, well and imaginatively staged, whatever the play. Well worth the price.

I cannot believe how long it took me to make it to a show here! The seating and stage set up is quite unique and the acting is top-notch. The ticket prices are not low, but the performances are worth every penny.

Last weekend we saw Bad Dates during a weekend trip to Cincinnati. It was an fun little show - really more for women than the men, but my husband said he found it entertaining. The theater is small - which is really lovely - not a bad seat in the house and it is also very affordable.

As a season ticket holder for 38 years, this is one of my favorite venues for theatre in the world, whether the Marx Theatre or the Thompson Shelterhouse. Season productions are always chock full of new experimental or funny plays and some of the old standbys. They are always done well, in a fabulous theatre, with options for dining before... More

Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park sits atop Mount Adams outside of downtown Cincinnati. The complex, which houses two stages is very nice, with a shared lobby and large restrooms. Parking is plentiful in the area, and free outside of the garage, but be prepared to walk a bit. And while the seating in the Marx Theatre is not the most... More

Saw "To Kill a Mockingbird" last night. Each performer was spectacular. Their hard work showed through. This venue is my favorite in town. So intimate - not a bad seat in the entire place.

The Playhouse's version of To Kill a Mockingbird is incredible. There is no scenery, and yet you never notice nor miss it. The actors' dialogue has you mesmerized. If you knew nothing about the play previously, you would still be enthralled. The Playhouse itself is gorgeous with every seat providing a good view.

We saw A Christmas Carol at the playhouse. It was awesome. We had a great time. Everybody from the parking attendant to the ushers were so helpful and kind to a couple of senior citizens. My husband has a scooter and everyone went over and above to make our night great. The play was everything and more than expected. Everybody... More

I have always A Christmas Carol, so when my wife purchased tickets for my birthday I was very excited. The location is located in a park in a very upscale area; however, I would not consider it exactly safe after dark. Parking is limited and I highly recommend buying the parking garage pass, pay in advance. Finding on the street... More

Having lived in Cincinnati some 20+ years, I had never been to Playhouse in the Park to see a production of A Christmas Carol. Last night we went to the 7:00 show and it was wonderful. Aside from a small glitch with something set-related, the evening was a huge success. Incredibly talented cast put on a wonderful performance of a... More
