A gothic cathedral that has a design similar to Notre Dame in Paris.

This cathedral is especially beautiful on a sunny day. The stained glass windows are spectacular. The stations of the cross are made of imported mosaics. Tours are available. It almost has the feel of a cathedral in Europe, complete with flying buttresses.

I am not an ultra religious person, but a visit to the Cathedral Basilica in Covington, KY is a must for lovers of history and architecture. The architecture is breathtaking, being a replica of Cathedral de Notre Dame in Paris, France. Sweeping French Gothic spires complete with gargoyles and beautiful stained glass windows. Even attended a mass here. The interior,... More

The Cathedral Basilica has beautiful stained glass and is a replica of the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris France. They do have tours which I'd highly recommend to learn all the little details that go into making the Cathedral what it is.

The basilica is open for visitors most of the day. There is a knowledgeable receptionist who has a pamphlet to give the visitor additional information while roaming through the Cathedral. There are 3 rose stained glass windows that are absolutely stunning, worth the trip to see. According to the information, 80% of the building is stained glass windows. Also noteworthy... More

The Basilica is open for tours during the day and this place is so peaceful inside. Great history about its building and architecture design. Reverent inside and most of all a very peaceful place. There are also devotional areas inside to Jesus, Mary, Joseph and St Patrick. Well worth the visit. You won't be disappointed.

We viewed this stunning church right when it opened at 10:00 am. The wood carvings, stained glass windows, massive organ pipes, and tiled stations of the cross were breath-taking to behold. The garden, although small, was well tended and there was even a small 'reflection' area for peaceful contemplation. Definitely a WOW attraction...John 3:16

The workers are always happy to help you and the cathedral is absolutely stunning. I believe some records are held for largest stain glass windows in the world.

Most historic churches can advertise wonderful pieces of art. This basilica contains walls of detailed stained glass, some of the largest in the world. Of an entirely different medium, large mosaics depict the story of Christ's passion in excruciating detail. It all leaves one speechless. [Remember, gentlemen, please remove your hat out of respect.]

I attended a friends wedding here. It was enchanting, romantic, and gorgeous! Beautiful architecture. We stayed at a hotel in Cincinnati, and it was a short drive across the bridge.
