Scenic Flowers and Scenic View
Jul 2021
Eden Park overlooks the Ohio River in Cincinnati. It is home to unique statues, which were gifts from foreign governments, and to beautiful plants and flowers. It has a playground for children, a pond, and a scenic overlook. It was clean and appeared well maintained. Even the restrooms were pretty nice. It is popular with locals. We saw a senior citizen group setting up for lunch, and a school group on an outing. The flowers were very beautiful and well maintained. It was certainly a nice place to visit or to take a picnic.

Beautiful views over the Ohio River

If I could do half stars for a review I’d give this 3.5. But it’s worthy of a 4 I guess. As some reviewers say the foliage is overgrown in much of the park, the lake/fountain water is filthy and kind of smells, some of the structural walls are crumbling and when we went the first night of it visit and drove by the one overlook there were so many people smoking weed we couldn’t even keep our windows down because of the smell. But we went back the next day to that overlook and got some great pictures and the views were beautiful. The duck pond in that area was really cute as well and seemed to be kept up better than most of the other areas in the park.

Decent park, nice overlook
May 2021 • Family
We were sightseeing in downtown Cincinnati and wanted a place to picnic. So we looked up nearby parks and drove over to this one. There were lots of picnic tables but they weren’t the cleanest due to the many geese around. So we picnicked out of our trunk. The overlook was very pretty though! There are other areas of the park that we didn’t have time to stop and see. It was a pretty busy place. But large too.

Must have been nice in its day
Jun 2021 • Couples
Overgrown foliage, flowerless and barren of people. What a disappointing park. While Edens must have been a gem for past generations, this generation squandered it. It appears the city has not cut back the foliage in over 10 years. You can see that under the overpowering vines, wild bushes and weeds, there must have been beautiful trees, parks spaces and trees, things you actually expect to be beautiful in a park. But one can only now imagine. But who is imagining it? Our visit was 2pm on a beautiful Saturday afternoon - nobody was there. Obviously the people of Cincinnati do not see much reason to enjoy this park.

Cincinnati must think more concrete brings more beauty, given the money invested in their Smale Park and The Banks.

Don’t waste your time.

Walk and see the River

We were in Newport KY and some told us about this park. Totally worth the visit. Met here with some friends and then walked around in the MT Adams neighborhood. Terrific view and unique atmosphere

Lovely park with a view of the river

What a pleasant surprise! It is always nice to find a gem of a park in an urban area. There are plenty of walking paths and overlooks with places to sit and enjoy the view. The park is nicely maintained and it is easy to keep your distance from other visitors to the park. I am looking forward to visiting the Krohn Conservatory on my next visit.

Relaxing and pretty.

We came across this park when we were visiting Krohn's Conservatory. Nice trails connecting different parts of the park. The ponds at the top of the hill were nice, except for all the duck/goose poo....but it is a duck pond, so you're going to have that. Also there were quite a few people blasting music with foul language, so maybe not for little kids.

Great place to relax and have a picnic
Jul 2020 • Family
It’s a really pretty place to either sit at the benches provided or grab a blanket and have have a nice picnic. It does get busy with people. They also have BBQ grills if you want to have a BBQ.
