    Great little trip
I’m happy we decided to go to this museum before my kids were too old for it. They are 6 and 8, and they loved the indoor play areas and the Bricktionary Lego exhibit. The building itself is beautiful. I would highly recommend it for a quick day trip to Cincinnati.

    Multiple museums under one roof!
There are like 4-5 museums under this one roof at Cincinnati Union Terminal. Truly beautiful space and amazing museums. Cincinnati History Museum was really fun, first floor focused on Cincinnati's transformation from its beginning to the present. They also have an entire room dedicated to a train model recreation of the city (and the lighting changes from day to night and back!). Lower floor is full of wonderful, interactive, life size, exhibits that were fun and educational. I did a quick walk through of the Children's Museum which seemed really fun for the kiddos and considered parents in the design. Was running out of time, but was able to make it through most of the Museum of Natural History and Science, which again was full of really great interactive exhibits and components. Lower floor is entirely space exploration. More life size and interactive exhibits as you work your way up or down the floors. They fully built a cave that you can walk through as if you were in a real life underground cave! I didn't pay extra for the Holocaust museum, but you could definitely spend a day or more going through the museums. Parking was like $6 on site and you can pay for it when you buy your museum ticket inside.

The building is better than the museums, especially if you like Art Deco
This is a great space. If you like Art Deco, this place will delight you. I'm sure that it's a beautiful spot for weddings and events. And many movies are filmed here. As for the museums, the price range is good but they are small. We made it through the natural history museum in 30-40 minutes and the Cincinnati history museum only took a half hour at most. And I'd argue that the Cincinnati history museum is more of a Cincinnati's Museum of Transportation History. The best part of this was that a docent was giving free tours of the building. They do them on Fridays through Sundays and they take about an hour. We joined one on a whim and Larry was so informative and enthusiastic. You get to go around a lot of rooms that aren't open to the public. (Do NOT join if you can't do stairs.)

A lovey and free place to learn and understand the history.
A beautiful, well managed large museum with artifacts placed in different environments based on geography, era and faiths. I loved the placement of artifacts and paintings in each section. Would love to go again as I did not have the time to visit all sections of the museum.

    Take the Rotunda Tour
Take the free Rotunda Tour! The architecture is beautiful and the behind the scenes original restored rooms were incredible. Diane, our docent, was delightful and very knowledgeable. We learned new things about the history of Cincinnati and Union Terminal. Thank you Diane!

Great Museum Complex in a Great Historical Space
Had an absolutely wonderful visit to the museum to see the Pompeii special exhibit. The is a beautiful building with lots of options (I believe two museums and an iMAX theater in addition to the feature exhibit space. There are also spots to grab a bit on the ground and first floor and a gift shop with a wide selection. The Pompeii exhibit was excellent. The crowd was well controlled, good context for the individual items on display, and some great multimedia exhibits. Very well done and well worth the drive to get there. Certainly looking forward to getting back there again. Spend some time in the main entry viewing the wall frescoes and seeing the history of the building. The main lobby was originally a taxi drop-off space for people riding the train when it was the train station.

Great museums in a beautiful building
We were on a bus trip to the Cincinnati area and this was one of our stops. Union Terminal is an old train station which has been rehabilitated. The Art Deco architecture is beautiful and impressive. We visited the Omnimax Theater for a presentation of the National Parks. Everyone enjoyed the movie. There were two changing exhibits featured in this building. One was the Pompeii Exhibition which everyone seemed to love. The other was a Holocaust Exhibit. I paid $7.50 to go through the Holocaust exhibit. It was well thought out. Most of it was stories from survivors. I found it very moving. We didn't have much time left, so we decided to check out the Museum of Natural History and Science. We saw dinosaurs, fossils, plants and animals. We didn't have time to check out the Ice Age Gallery or the Space Exploration Gallery. We also didn't get to see the Cincinnati History Museum. I was very impressed with this building and museums. I would love to come back when we have more time.

    Family Adventure Weekend
Nice to visit 3 museums in one stop. Bought tickets online and got a $3 coupon per ticket on their website. Disappointed that we paid $6 for parking but the gates were up the entire time. The exhibits were interactive and interesting. The museums were clean and well maintained. Not a lot of staff to ask questions except at the entrance, and not always a clear path for strollers but was able to complete all 3 museums comfortably in about 4 hours. Loved the miniature Cincinnati replica with the trains and the Neil Armstrong exhibits. There is a bit for everyone.

A fun way to spend a few hours or a whole day
So glad we took time to come here. Parking was easy and lots of it. They have a couple of small eateries (one downstairs too) and the food was really good. They even have beer if you really want it. But the whole place is amazing. Several museums and exhibits all in one place. Their website explains this really well. Genius. We went for the Pompeii exhibit which was really good. We’ve been to Pompeii and still enjoyed this re visit! We were in the exhibit about two hours but could have stayed longer, or even gone quicker but it was interesting. However, getting tickets on the website was a struggle. And we ended up paying extra for “anytime entry” (not necessary ) since we were in town for a wedding and didn’t have all day. They streamline people really well and there was no wait. I don’t recommend the extra “flight over Pompeii” as it didn’t seem very special. After the exhibit we looked around this beautiful place. Free docent lead tours on weekend of the train station and several things they didn’t change at all. There is a cool looking kid area, and lockers to store your things so you really could stay all day with little trouble!

We saw the iMax documentary of the Apollo 11 mission, which was very well done. Then we purchased tickets for the exhibit, and it was so cool to see the Apollo 11 capsule, along with lots of interactive kiosks and great photography.
We had some complaints:
1. The signage in and around the Museum Center is poor ... guests should be able to easily identify the museums. We wandered around trying to figure out where to line up for the theatre and afterward found the Apollo 11 exhibit in the basement. A few posters or wayfaring signs would have been helpful. It's a big place.
2. There were few places to sit and take a rest (unless you went into the restaurant). Given the size of the place, more benches would be nice. All of the seating was in use, and we two seniors had to stand around on our tired feet!
3. Parking, tickets and the movie were all more expensive than expected. Plus the ticket sellers recommended to pay for our parking inside, as the outside kiosk was "a disaster" (their words).

Very disappointed in the Apollo 11 exhibit. First price is outrageous for an exhibit that takes less than an hour to see. We were excited to see capsule & show to grandkids. Second only a few actual pieces to view, most is boards to read , couple of videos and that is it. This would be great to see for a small fee added to admission to science & natural history museum. We won’t return anytime soon

Went there on a Friday and it was pretty busy. The center is inside the Union Terminal. The grand entrance was beautiful since the recent restoration.

The center has 6 attractions inside but we visited three of them (Natural History and Science, Children’s museum and Cincinnati History)

The Union Terminal was beautiful

The Natural History and Science has several hands on attractions for kids to enjoy. Our favorite exhibit was the indoor cave. Felt so realistic.

The Children’s museum was large but very chaotic. A lot to do but it seem that 50 percent of parents were on their phones which allowed children to run wild and cause chaos. I had to confront one kid (who was about 5) after she pulled a 2 year old off the stairs and threw them down. The particular area had signs posted that any child under 8 had to be accompanied by adult. So was the parents??? Who knows.

The Cincinnati History area was small and chaotic. Oh look a group of soccer moms sitting at picnic table in the Landing area surfing their phones while their kids are running around, throwing things and yelling. Couldn’t really enjoy it. The miniature display of Cincinnati was so pretty cool.

Staff was mostly unfriendly. We interacted with about ten employees and only 2 of them were friendly. One snapped at us while we looking for the entrance into the children’s museum.

A good rainy day activity and if you are a Bank of America customer you get one free admission. However probably won’t be back due to unfriendly service and chaos we experienced.

When our kids were little, we always had a membership and the museum was our rainy weekend get-a-way. They were always excited to head over to see and play with the exhibits. We stopped going as one entered college and one entered high school.

Coming home for a visit, our oldest wanted to return and see it with her spouse, and I had been wanting to see the Apollo 11 exhibit.

I was impressed with the rotunda murals. How clean and vibrant the colors were. Her spouse was amazed at the exhibits and the overall size of the museum. We actually rushed him through as we wanted him to see "everything" even if he didn't get to read it all. It was fun to see my kids faces as we toured the museums, it was like I traveled back in time 10 - 15 years. They were literally beaming as they walked around.

We found early on, the the best way to visit is to spend your time in just one of the museums, or the special exhibit. Then if time allows, hit one or two of your favorites in the other places. For my kids, it was always the cave. After touring the Apollo 11 exhibit, we headed straight for the cave to see it again.

I purchased the membership again, and we've already been back since our first visit. I see several more rainy weekend visits in the future as well. Lot's of new stuff to see and just soak in the restored building and exhibits.

We all had a great time and look forward to going back again.

We were just planning on going here for ice cream in the renovated Art Deco old hair salon, but the doors were locked (probably because of Coronavirus).

We decided to get tickets for the museum. So glad we did. Made our vacation. Our kids, ages 10, 12, 14, 16 were ridiculously happy to see the largest display of HO scale trains ever. They even got to talk to Santa.

The adults loved the paddle wheel boat display. The space room with videos. The science show of a guy making fire balls. We all learned so much today.

I was very pleased with our recent experience at Cincinnati Museum Center. After driving by many times and enjoying the buildings resemblance to the Super Friends' Hall of Justice (which it inspired) my college-graduate daughter and I visited one sunny Monday afternoon. We are both museum nerds and very much enjoyed the depth of the exhibits both in the Natural History and Cincinnati History sections. The huge diorama of the city was a big surprise. Highly recommended all the way around. And the art deco of the interior is beautiful! (FYI - COVID protocols still in place as of June 2021 so masks required for everyone while in building)

Visited during a convention event and really enjoyed my time there. The entrance hall is beautiful and the museum expositions are entertaining with some interactive elements. Couldn't enter the kids zone since it was closed at night during the convention exclusive time but it also looked like a nice interactive area for the little ones. They really show their pride as Neil Armstrong's hometown here.

I love going here just to see the beauty of the architecture. The place was immaculate and people were visibly cleaning the entire time we were there. Our family enjoys the changing exhibits so we go every year. The Children's Museum is closed because of Covid but everything else was open.
The only thing I wish I saw, and maybe I just missed it, was something in the gift shop about Union Terminal itself. A book about the architecture, architect, pictures from the past, current use today (besides being a museum); even a postcard.
Before going into the museums, we had a hotdog and tater tots, and enjoyed sitting in the dining room. You could almost to back in time and hear and see people running to catch trains. Great atmosphere and worth seeing even if you don't visit the museums.
Looking forward to the next exhibit so we can go again.

I had a great visit to the Museum Centre, there is so much to see. The science and history museums were both great and these are included in the normal ticket, especially liked the Neil Armstrong section. I didn't get around all exhibits in both of these as I ran out of time but there was more to see if I had had longer.
The Pixar exhibit was great, it started with a short video and then it was a very interactive and interesting exhibition itself. I also went to the Omnimax cinema which is worth it, the film's are about 45 minutes long but it was a great experience.
Finally, I went to the Holocaust exhibit and this was very good. Everything was extremely well done. There were short videos throughout the exhibit to break up reading time. It was incredibly insightful and interesting - the Holocaust section is a must.
You could easily spend a full day here and still have not seen everything.

We came over with no special knowledge of this museum and just looked for something to do with the kids on a cold day. The place is not that cheap neither very expensive ( we paid 77$ with parking for six). The fun thing is that u get to see 3 museums in one ticket ( history, natural and kids). The exhibit were lots of fun and my kids enjoyed all of them. We haven't even reached the history part since we need to leave home. We spent there five hours and could easily spend a couple more. Lunch was o.k.( around 10$ a dish) and the portions were big enough. You can refill your drinks as much as u want which is a plus in places like that.
It was a nice surprise and we had a great time!
B.T.W. the structure itself is amazing and the history of it as well!
Have fun!
