The statue is pretty cool and Smokey was dressed for a day of fishing. The disappointment was in regards to the location of the park. Sad to say, it was near a pulp mill that emitted unpleasant odors. Let’s hope that the forest service promotes...More

Smokey Bear and his two buddies stand right at the entrance to the small park in town. This is a great photo opportunity as you pass through International Falls. We drove past on our way back from the Voyageurs-Rainy Lake National Park.

For a small town they have a very nice park with a mueseum and Amphitheater.. I was pretty surprised for such a littell town which sits on the Canadian border.
