Very extensive exhibits of historical Vicksburg pictures and artifacts. History buffs paradise. The entrance fee is very reasonable and they have a cool gift shop.

The docents are helpful and knowledgeable about the museum. Very friendly and the contents are not just about "the war". The top floor is well worth the staircase climb both for men and woman.

Don’t skip this museum - add it to your list of authentic Vicksburg memorials. The architecture takes you back. Go up to the third floor to see the courtroom. The summer heat and humidity make you appreciate what our forefathers has to endure.

Great for a pic or 2 but wouldn’t spend a lot of time. Well maintained gardens & very imposing with its high columns & tower.

We walked here after an amazing lunch at Walnut Hills. Nice to walk off a little bit. Only $5 to get in and you can then see an amazing array of artifacts from instruments to clothing to guns.

A museum that seems to have little bits of everything and then some ! Enjoyed the casual way things were displayed and the old courtroom was good

The Old Court house is crammed full of exhibits, along with information. There is lots about the civil war, along with personal stories, children's toys and tools. In the court room, there is a timeline about Vicksburg. A room is given over to Jefferson Davies...More

This is a nice little museum and you can tell that the people that run the museum care deeply. We would definitely go again.

After leaving the National Military Park, the obvious place to go is here. I was surprised at the amount of rare artifacts they had here. The Civil War items are the main draw here (in my opinion). They have everything from firearms, to flags, to...More
