We were taken round as part of a tour. saw a film first which was very good. Taken round the park on a coach, such a large site very well kept.

Part of the battlefield and a must stop and see. Build in 1902, this is a very grand building. Inside has the names wrapped around the walls. True bronze art work. Needs to be cleaned and more upkeep. Would make for a good Eagle project (BSA)

It is inside the Park. it is breathtaking. Take time to read the story, the words on the monument and walk inside.

The architecture and tile work is beautiful. What truly touched me are the plaques on the wall with the names of the soldiers. Peaceful inside and the view is absolutely beautiful. It is a pretty good hike to the top but well worth it.

While traveling we took a side trip through the National Military Park. As we drove up to this monument, the steps were a little discouraging. Bu the steps were very easy to maneuver and it was well worth the climb!

This was definitely the highlight of the trip to Vicksburg. The architecture is stunning, and the overall presentation is awe inspiring. If you don't see anything else in Vicksburg, you need to see this.

I would recommend this tour to the young and old. It not only taught my grandson some things about our history but myself also. Very pleasant drive surrounded by so much history.

The architecture is amazing, the tile work impressive, but the plaques listing all the names is moving.

If you have read or studied the Civil War to any extent , this park is for you. I do recommend that before you visit you update yourself on the history of Vicksburg and the battle for Vicksburg. A great place to start is the civilwar.org website. It will mean much more to you as you ride through the park.... More
