Waikiki Sailing Company Waikiki Sailing Company was founded in 1947 by Woody Brown in Honolulu, Hawaii. A legendary Waikiki beach boy known for his contributions to surfing, sailing, and soaring — William (Woody’s son) set out to carry on his family’s maritime legacy. Woody Brown built the very first modern-day catamaran, the Manu Kai, and William followed in his footsteps by creating a catamaran of his own, Mana kai. Today, we proudly operate the Hawea, a 50-foot-catamaran built by Woody Brown JR, accommodating up to 49 passengers. With its iconic Hawaiian Rainbow sail, relaxing lounge net, and a pleasant sound system, the Hawea is designed to offer an unforgettable sailing experience. As a USCG-certified, environmentally-friendly vessel, we are committed to protecting the ocean we sail on. You can find us right on Waikiki Beach, in front of the world-famous Duke Kahanamoku Statue, and along the beachfront of the Hyatt Regency Hotel

The crew was extremely polite and very helpful. We had a member of our party who needed extra help and they were very helpful. We boarded on time and set sail in a short period. It wasn’t a full trip, but nearly full, but wasn’t crowded.
A big plus is that you board right on Waikiki beach. If there is someone in your group, as we did, who doesn’t like to sail, they aren’t stuck on a dock at a marina. They can wait for you on the beach. There also is a bath house and snack bar right on that part of the beach.
Those laying on the front net got soaked on the way out, but not on the way back. Seating was good so everyone could see. In the seating area you did get wet, but not soaked.
This was a good length sail for those looking to do something like this but wanting a more reasonable rate and not a long sail. An hour was a good length.
There were four of us, ages 24, 55, 56, and 83. We all agreed it was the perfect length sail. We all would recommend this to our friends.
This is a great little operation that gives you a great experience at a reasonable cost.

We went on the Sunset Sail, we chose this because it was BYOB with a fair and affordable price. I wasn't sure what to expect. This far exceeded my expectations, we had an amazing/fun group of crew members. Everyone on our sail was lively fun and friendly! This will be one of my best memories for years to come!

We sailed with Captain Jenna and crew twice, snorkeling with the turtles and the tradewind sail. Both exceeded our expectations. We wanted a good locals experience without all the hype and unnecessary frills. We wanted to snorkel and see turtles with our own eyes and we did. The trade winds sail was great even when the wind did not cooperate. I am a sailor and was allowed to take a turn at the helm. When the wind died down we motored over and saw some turtles again.

Our family had a great time on this adventure. If you have never been snorkeling before, this crew is great. They are knowledgeable and very helpful when you need it. My 6 year old son was struggling with the snorkel and they loaded him on a surfboard and pulled him around so he could see the turtles and fish below. I was super thankful for them asking if they could help and then making sure he had a good time with us as well. Well worth the time and money.

We enjoyed our Sunset Cruise on the Waikiki Catamaran! The captain and his assistant were both great, very personable, safety conscious . . . Took our photos with Diamond Head in the background, and took us out towards some dolphins that were seen in the area. We appreciated this option that was less expensive and didn't include snorkeling or stiff beverages. Just a relaxing cruise at Sunset, perfect!

We had a great time! Guys on the boat were very friendly and provided good info. Got in the water to keep an eye on everyone and when someone got too close to a turtle they called them back. Great trip! Saw lots of turtle and fish

Great tour guide! The whole family enjoyed their tour to see the amazing turtles in Waikiki. We felt very safe with every staff member being genuinely caring, making sure we all had a chance to see the turtles. The guides also made sure before we entered the water that our snorkelling gear was secure. The guides also made sure my two children felt safe and offered their surfboards for them to lean on, and no pressure for them to jump straight off the boat. 100% I would recommend this tour to others. They were also extremely respectful of the turtles in their environment reminding all guests of the rules around not getting too close. Our whole family enjoyed the tour. Thank you team for a great tour!

We had a party of 8 and we had an amazing time! It had rained all day, and we were worried about the trip being canceled. Luckily, it wasn’t and we ended up having one of the best nights of our 5 night stay in Oahu! Captain Jenna was amazing as was Kai Noa! We could not have asked for a better crew. They accommodated us in every way possible, and although we didn’t quite get the sunset we were hoping for, we had a blast! We highly recommend them for any catamaran adventures! Mahalo!

This was a really fun ride. All of the guys on ship were friendly and funny. Don’t Shazam their music though 😊 Recommend for anyone looking for a couple of hours in the sun. I chose not to snorkel but there were a good amount of sea turtles and we saw dolphins swimming too.

Had a wonderful sunset catamaran ride with Mitchell and Isaac. Fun, friendly, and engaging, we had such a great time and had some amazing photo ops. Isaac takes great photos! It’s easy to see they love what they do, and have fun doing it. Highly recommend this if you get the opportunity.
