I took the Sunset Cruise. Beautiful sunset sky for half of the cruise, and when it's really dark, there's the spectacular view of lights on the Waikiki shoreline. The crew of three did a great job of keeping us safe and happy. Fresh drinks were offered frequently (no munchies though, bring your own if you want them), and we all made a friendly and relaxed group. I definitely recommend this cruise if you're looking for a fun/exciting way to enjoy the Waikiki sunset.

You will get a bit wet, especially getting on and off the catamaran. Those with sensitive stomachs may want to know that even this short 90 min cruise is plenty of time to need Dramamine (I was glad I took some ahead of time). Also, there's a toilet below but access requires crew assistance and it's for #1 only.

My wife and I were able to go snorkeling with Bella, Dave and Capt Junior on the big yellow boat on our 1 year wedding anniversary. The tour description says snorkeling with Turtles among other sealife and I was skeptical to say the least. I’m not gonna lie about that. A short safety brief and a 15ish min boat ride later we arrived to the snorkel spot. Jumped off the boat and within minutes my wife and I see 1 turtle swimming close enough to us to be happy that we saw 1. Fast forward the remainder of our hour or so in the water and we were able to see a total of 4. The majority of the time at least 3 hung out with our entire group for a long time. Swimming in and out of our group, surfacing and socializing with us definitely debunked my skepticism and DEFINITELY made the cost more than worth it.

The guys at the big yellow catamaran - Kalel, Justin & Jeff do a super job at picking you from waikiki beach and within a short hop take you to Turtle Canyon for a snorkelling excursion. They provide gear ( snorkel mask and tube and life vest ..no fins) . During lockdown we are lucky to get some low key snorkeling done with Turtle Canyon as no other snorkelling options available on the island eg Hanuma Bay is under lockdown. The snorkel site is a small area with turtles swimming 30ft below and not too great coral life so don't expect color popping marine life . They do a great job taking you sailing thereafter putting the catamaran through its paces and it's refreshing to sit in netted area upfront with splashing waves . The guys do a great job making sure you are safe and also serve you drinks ...yes beer included. For $50 per adult you cannot get a better deal !

My friend and I had booked a snorkeling tour. The day of the weather was really bad, we totally understood that the weather was bad. We called to reschedule our tour for the next day and the lady on the phone reassured us multiple times that we would still be snorkeling and we could do it the next day. she proceeded to tell us that she rebooked us for a sunset snorkeling tour. My friend and I were so happy that we were able to get rescheduled, then she proceeded to say that the new booking was cheaper and refunded my friend. We didn’t think twice about it and said okay that’s cool. The next day we arrive and get on the boat. Everyone was dressed up and after a couple of second before leaving the shore we are told that this is not a snorkeling boat it’s a sunset cruise. At this point my friend and I are pretty pissed off because this was not what we had paid and signed up for. Fast forward to getting out into the ocean they say that bar is now open. You are allowed 3 drinks per person. The staff on the boat kept asking me if I wanted a drink WITHOUT checking my ID or my friends. My friend is 22 luckily for them but they were very persistent in getting me an alcoholic beverage when I am not 21. This was very disappointing. The staff was nice and the guy driving the boat was cool but I really hope something like this doesn’t happen to someone else. So triple check what you are booking for and if you have to get rebooked for something else just clarify multiple times with the person on the phone.

The turtles you'll see are majestic, but unless you've never snorkeled before, I wouldn't recommend this. Even if you haven't, I'd hesitate to. The boat takes you about 7 mins away from the beach, right up to a group of about four other boats who have disgorged their punters into the Pacific. The sheer numbers of people in the water (some of them ignoring advice to stay six feet from the turtles) take away any of the serenity and peace that snorkeling and marine life can offer. Moderate levels of fish, again probably because of the numbers of tourists thrashing around. I'd recommend spending the 60 dollars on your own snorkeling gear, and finding a beach with clear water before the exploring what it has to offer.

We did the Diamond Head Tour and had a great time. This is a 90 min tour with sails up. Captain and crew were great. Great views of Waikiki and Diamond Head from the boat. The Manu Kai is small enough that you really felt the waves and were really sailing. Crew were manning the sails but still had time to make sure you had mai tais. Overall a great time and highly recommend.

We quickly found ourselves with no where to sit except on the walkway which was soak wet and full of sand from everyone else walking on it. We repeatedly had to move to allow EXTRA passengers on the now over booked cruise. They told us we were about 7 people over the limit, but these were last minute friends paying cash. The rest of the adventure was fine, the crew was very professional.

Crew was great! Captain did bare minimum but got us there and back safe!
Saw turtles 🥳 - one crew member essentially lead us around following the turtles down below 👌🏼. One surfaced and we were reminded to give it space (it was right behind me!!!).
We chose this tour as it was less expensive than many/most others. And it went to the same place as some other tours - Turtle Canyon! That particular area was crowded at times depending how many other tours were there but really we saw turtles so mission accomplished!
We took a chance, did not book online ahead of time and paid cash on the boat. Easy peasy and Dylan was super friendly registering us. Just look for the blue & yellow sign that says Catamaran Landing (not real obvious! To left of Royal Hawaiian(pink hotel) if looking at the hotels).
They were good with the kids and have smaller masks and flippers for them too! We brought our own as we weren’t sure but could have left them home.

We did the sunset sail on the Manu Kai and had a great time. The crew was so entertaining yet professional and attentive to the sea. The coronas and mai tais were plentiful, although the Mai tais were the remade kind from a bottle. They player great music and it was a fun experience. If you are looking for a boozy fun sunset sail this is for you. If you are looking for a quiet romantic sunset sail, look for another boat.

The crew was absolutely outstanding (Mary, Mina & the two Dillons.. Our 8 year old daughter was tentative about being with the water with so many fish but their team was kind, understanding and provided the support/confidence to help her experience her first snorkel with sea turtles... it was a highlight of an amazing trip.

Oh and the scenery and snorkel was amazing! if you're staying in Waikiki this is worth the $$ and time.. just remember to tip your crew :)
