Teaching the fun sport of surfing for beginners and intermediates! All ages welcome! All equipment included! No experience nessasary! Some students may need private attention due to physical ability,s ! Also we teach surfing in Waikiki,Oahu at the uncrowded beginner surfing spot and the North Shore Haleiwa at the beginner surfing spots ! We have the best rates and our lessons are exclusive as you are not treated in a commercial way but with Aloha! Meaning our prices are very affordable and when you book a group it will be just your group ! Private and semi-private surfing classes are priced to beat the competition! We offer free photos and videos with free drone footage weather permitting and are a family owned and operated! We enjoy making people happy with our service and pricing!

Big thanks to Jimmy from Hawaii Surfing Academy for teaching myself and the kids to surf. Apart from my daughter, none of us had tried surfing before and Jimmy made it really simple for us and had us all standing up in no time. If you are in Oahu and have always wondered what it might be like to surf then I can’t recommend Jimmy and Nani at Hawaii Surfing Academy enough. It’s heaps of fun and Nani’s a whizz with the drone so you get some great photos and videos of your experience. Thanks Guys

I never see a surfing lessons can be conducted as excellent as Jimmy could do. We are a group of 6 and Jimmy called another instructor to teach us together. Both of them are patient, friendly, and great at teaching surfing. Moreover, Jimmy's wife took us photos and videos all the time, and she even fly a drone to record the whole process. Unlike other business who charge extra for photos and videos, they do not charge extra. All the girls in the group are very happy and we booked another lesson with Jimmy in 2 days. The whole team did an incrediable job and I could not recommend more.

Hawaii Surfing Academy provided a great surfing experience for our group. None of us knew how to surf going in but we were paired with Kaiya who was a lovely instructor. She was very encouraging and sweet- making the entire experience quite enjoyable. She taught us the basics on the beach and then we went off to the ocean. She helped us catch good waves and we were all able to stand up and surf by the end of the lesson. We also had a drone taking pictures and recording us surfing. The photos and videos were given to us immediately after the lesson and they were really good quality. Overall we had a really wonderful time and would recommend Hawaii Surfing Academy to all beginners who want to learn how to surf.

First time I had ever surfed!!!! Definitely feel confident now. Instructors super helpful my son and I love surfing now he made it easy to understand. The lesson comes with free pictures and videos that capture every moment!!!!!!! I highly recommend booking. I booked the lessons for 2 days my son was super proud of himself that he wanted a second lesson that’s how confident and comfortable he felt with the lessons. Definitely book this family owned company it is 100% worth it.

Got Jimmy’s name from a friend who lives on the island. Booked a north shore private group lesson for me and my teenage sons. Jimmy called the night before to discuss a change of plans due to decreasing waves on the north shore. While we were disappointed, Jimmy was 100% correct. Our move to Waikiki and to the early morning allowed us to get the full experience. Great teacher and definitely wanted to ensure we had a great time. Would do it again in a heartbeat.

Jimmy and Noni are the best!!! They provided excellent instruction and a first class surfing experience for three beginners in my family. We were originally scheduled to surf the North Shore, but Jimmy said the surf forecast for Waikiki was better, so we switched it up. Top notch communication. Everything we needed was provided. A safe and fun experience was had by all. Noni shot some excellent drone photos and videos of our successful rides. When we return to Hawaii, we’ll be scheduling with Jimmy and Noni again.

I did change the appointment twice because of the weather and sudden injury. The owner is very responsive and understandable even when I called him early morning with jet lag. Looking forward the first surfing experience with my wife.

Jimmy is unbelievable! He’s incredibly patient and professional. He got me on the board on my first wave and he taught me how to surf in no time! What an experience!!! His wife Nani is great too. She took awesome drone pictures and videos of the entire class which are included in the class price. What a deal!!! If you’re looking to learn to surf and have an awesome experience for a great price- Jimmy is your man!

Jimmy did a private lesson for our 4 kids in Waikiki. He provided rash guards, a life jacket for our youngest and snacks. All four kids were able to stand up and ride multiple waves over period of 90+ minutes. The added drone pictures and videos were great

My teens with no surfing experience were up and going in no time. This was an incredible personalized experience from start to finish. Jimmy took time to go over details on the phone. Once we got there, his wife took time to find the right size rash guard outfits and shoes. The instructor truly wanted the kids to succeed and was encouraging. We watched the entire experience from the shore and it was great. We could see other lesson groups there too and were so happy we went with this. Videos and pictures are includec with your lesson fee and it is extremely competively priced. Highly recommended and a big highlight of our Oahu visit.
