Do this tour on the first few days of visit!!! Gio and Crystal were excellent guides! The tour is very well organized so you get more treats for the time involved. Their knowledge of the history of Oahu culture and the history of the food...More
The guides were terrific: very friendly and very engaging. But we left disappointed.
The bulk of the experience involves sitting in the market while the guides shop for food and then bring it back to you (they e-mail you the identity of the restaurants after...More
This food tour came highly recommend and it was worth every penny. Gio and Cathie were our tour guides for the “Hole in the Wall” tour, and they did a fantastic job. Not only did we sample fantastic food at each stop, we learned a...More
This was so much fun. Our tour guides were super friendly and knowledgeable about food and culture in Oahu. We had incredible food from places we never would have known existed, much less eaten at, without their introduction. This tour started out a bao bun...More
We had a great time and tried some real treats. Gio & Cathie did a fantastic job! They both genuinely seem to enjoy their jobs and have a passion for the local food and the people and establishments that are part of the food scene....More
Wow! What a fantastic experience. I got to see and experience and TASTE so many thing I never had seen before even though I’ve been to Honolulu more than a dozen times. We learned so much from the guides. I highly recommend this to first...More

There was one solo traveler on our tour, and it was fun and interesting to meet him. My friend and I were raised in the Midwest; this solo traveler was of Middle Eastern descent raised in the UK. I loved chatting with him, and I think he enjoyed our friendliness... ... ...I know some people do not want to be approached and just want to rest. I think it would be comfortable for either type of person. If you are asking if the food is served "for two to share," no, you are offered individual portions.
I think JoAnn answered it best. But I'll add my two cents lol. I had read and reviewed A LOT before coming to the island and "needing" to get to the North Shore and its shrimp. I started feeling a little disappointed as we... More
I think JoAnn answered it best. But I'll add my two cents lol. I had read and reviewed A LOT before coming to the island and "needing" to get to the North Shore and its shrimp. I started feeling a little disappointed as we were passing all the food trucks. But I had total faith in our drivers (also knowing that we were renting a car the next day to do more exploring) I am so glad we went where they took us Ted's Bakery had the best garlic shrimp!! And I know because we did go back the next day and the others were just okay. The tour was one of the highlights of our trip! You will love it!
