The water here is calm so it was great for my 3 year daughter to "swim" here with her float ring on. I would suggest you wear water shoes as the sand is pretty rocky. It was hard to walk in the water.

This place is so crowded and there are so many homeless and panhandlers, there was even a physical altercation between a group of asian youths throwing up gang signs. You just don't feel safe unless you are with a group and even then it's iffy....More
