If you have small children, Magic Island beach is one of the best place to visit. It's a man-made beach and blocked so big waves will not come in. Good place to practice snorkeling, too.

Magic Island, this is actually a man-made peninsula a part of Alamoana Beach park. This beach a photographic beach compared to swimming as beach has rocks. The sunset views are amazing. Have seen photos by friends of memorial day event its truly heart touching when thousands of people gather here and leave lanterns in water. Beautiful… words cant describe its... More

Perfect place to relax and enjoy your morning, lunch, afternoon or early evening and a spectacular view of the sunset! I caught an amazing green flash there not too long ago!

This is our favorite family beach to go to. There is a ton of parking which is the first positive. There is nothing more frustrating than to have your family staring at the beach as you go around and around looking for a space. There is a nice reef to protect you so the waves are quite small and therefore... More

Magic Island is a wonderful beach park. It is similar to the beauty of Waikiki beach, but with a huge distinction-very little crowds. There is a lagoon at the end of the park, which sticks out into the water, and gives you a great view of Waikiki and Diamond Head. This lagoon is also protected from the rough waters, so... More

Wonderful area of Honolulu to catch the sunset. The parking lot can get crowded at times, so if you are going there just to catch the sunset allow for parking time and a bit of a walk to get to the prime spot, but t's worth it!

Not the best maintained area but nice for families with kids. Everyone was having fun and it was kind of homey for an outdoor waterfront location in Hawaii. Good for a picnic, wine and a little music.

"Magic Island" is a strip of land that juts out from the east end of Ala Moana beach park. It's a pleasant location for a walk or run with scenic views. The best time to visit is on weekdays and in the morning when it's cool. It can get crowded at weekends as it's a popular spot for large family... More
