Magic Island is a wonderful beach park. It is similar to the beauty of Waikiki beach, but with a huge distinction-very little crowds. There is a lagoon at the end of the park, which sticks out into the water, and gives you a great view of Waikiki and Diamond Head. This lagoon is also protected from the rough waters, so... More

Wonderful area of Honolulu to catch the sunset. The parking lot can get crowded at times, so if you are going there just to catch the sunset allow for parking time and a bit of a walk to get to the prime spot, but t's worth it!

Not the best maintained area but nice for families with kids. Everyone was having fun and it was kind of homey for an outdoor waterfront location in Hawaii. Good for a picnic, wine and a little music.

"Magic Island" is a strip of land that juts out from the east end of Ala Moana beach park. It's a pleasant location for a walk or run with scenic views. The best time to visit is on weekdays and in the morning when it's cool. It can get crowded at weekends as it's a popular spot for large family... More

We swam here while we were waiting for our parasailing time. It's nice and small but a bit rocky. The upside is that we avoided all of the people on Waikiki beach. It has a lifeguard and beach showers. All in all I think it's a nice place to picnic and play volleyball and swim if you go far enough... More

Yep, isn't that amazing? I have lived here for many years and often go for a very relaxing walk and to see the beautiful background of the KO'OLAU MOUNTAINS - - - and, of course, the majestic view of DIAMOND HEAD CRATER. Me and my wife were married here and, needless to say, is a special place in our hearts.... More

Wouldn't be my first pick for a beach day. Good for a family BBQ or Picnic. or even wedding because of the grassy areas and good view of the sunset.

The park is a beautiful and peaceful place to relax in the sun or to stroll down to the beach. The sunset is breathtaking.

Just off the main Waikiki beach this park has two great beaches and loads of parkland which is perfect for a picnic. If you arrive early there are some great spots near the beach with shelter under large trees to protect you from the midday sun. It is also used as a film and TV location. We just missed the...
