The trail is beautiful and ends at a small waterfall. It is an easy trail but it gets quite slippery with the mud so be careful!

This has been one of the best experiences in My trip to Hawaii. This place is located in the Waimea valey with a well organized logistic to go from the visitors center to the falls. Either walking about 1 mile (30 minutes) or using a...More

Hike through a scenic jungle that looks like it's from another world to an amazing waterfall? Yes, please! Trail was free but parking was $5 then off you go! Less than a mile will get you there, however, the trail gets a bit tougher as...More

We took the Grandson on this walk. It can be muddy, slick and ultimately dirty if it is raining (it was). However, the falls are worth the effort and if you are prepared to swim even better. Do have some small bills at the ready...More

A breath taking walk. So green, different climate changes as you go up. Mesmerizing trees and plants. A cinematographic place for sure..

The waterfall is high but not a whole lot of water. The path is mostly in the shade and prone to showers although didn't rain when we went. Neat scenery with dense foliage, like out of Jurassic Park. Rocks are slippery so where sneakers that...More

We rented a car to drive around the island and visited this location. The Falls was beautiful. Only one. This location also had the Botanical Gardens. So you walk up to the waterfall which took about 20 minutes, on a paved trail. At the end...More

We took the bus from Waikki to get there. The trail is not well--marked so get directions first. It was a nice hike--slightly rocky and slippery at times. But since most of the hike was in the shade and not too long, it was pleasant....More

Took the bus number 5 from Ala Moana Shopping Centre. The trail starts just a short walk from the bus turn around. Check the time of the return journeys before setting off as buses are not very frequent. Refreshments and restrooms only at the bottom...More

We had fun with this hike...very beautiful. It is a bit muddy and the rocks are definitely slippery, so I would recommend hiking shoes or athletic shoes with good traction. I was shocked to see some people walking in flip flops or flats, and even...More

Technically, NO. Do people go swimming (I would call it more like wading), Yes. There are signs posted, however, people ignore the signs and wade in the water/swim.

People swim in this water fall and don't pay attention to any warnings. In Hawaii you should never swim in a water fall because of Leptospirosis. Look it up, it's in all of the water. I would never risk it. Just enjoy the... More

Yes it is possible with a youngster. May be a few little spots that a little more care needs to be taken. Just be mindful of the people behind you and let them pass. Also don't do if it has rained as there are some slippery... More
