We took a drive through Rond Top Dr. which loops around Tantalus. The skinny two lane drive takes you to various spots where you can see the east and west side of the Honolulu and Waikiki. At some point, we stopped to watch a beautiful sunset over the city. Awesome views!

If you have a car, this is a fun little drive up a winding road and it's a fantastic view once you hit the summit. Stunning views. Free to the public and just beautiful. Doesn't take a lot of time out of your day either.

Beautiful drive and view is every bit as good as a helicopter ride!. Be sure to go all the way up past the park to the lookout.

This place is a bit hard to find, but once there offers a great view of all of Honolulu. We went on a rainy day (I think every day is rainy in Honolulu). The view was a bit obscured by low clouds and fog, but was still breathtaking. It was raining like crazy, and the wind was so strong, it... More

This place took almost no time to get to from Waikiki. And it's FREE! I didn't do any hiking but the picnic area and the overlook provided some great views. Nice overview of this side of the island and the twisty tervy drive up was kind of fun. In an environment of fairly expensive sight seeing places it was refreshing... More

If you have access to a rental car you must do this drive. It's amazing on the way up, at the top, and on the way down. Lots of trails along the way, too, if you want to stop and do one of those. Lookout is free of charge and has great views.

Beautiful Scenic Overlook, easy to get to and lots of history about this pass. Great place to take photos and REALLY windy. One of the signs says to watch out for Bees as they can be blown into you in the wind. Parking is $5.00

This is a great little part with an awesome view. Typically you'll find it when driving the Tantalus-Round Top circuit. Most people just stop to look but there are a bunch of picnic tables and a large grassy area a little distance away from the lookout so you can make it a lunch stop if you pack your own.

This is a must do if you have access to a car while in the area. It is a great location for a short hike or picnic, but it is truly all about the views. This would be a great area to watch the sunset. Well worth the time. Enjoy

It's a lovely drive up to the top and once you are there, you get beautiful views. The road has homes, so be careful while driving.... it's a winding road and you can't always see cars coming out of driveways
