This is a beautiful hike for anyone who's done a bit of hiking, meaning I'm not sure I'd recommend this to anyone who's not in some kind of decent cardio shape. 2.25 miles each way that covered just under 1,700 feet of relentless elevation gain,...More

roughly two miles up, then back down. pretty muddy and slippery after rain. on clear days you can see kailua, waimanalo, hawaii kai to diamond head. wouldn't recommend going on really cloudy days

This hike is long but totally worth it. There are a lot of switchbacks and could be a bit wonky in navigating up or down...but itʻs a great work out and this hike will get you away from the hustle and bustle of the city....More

You won't regret the trek you need to take up this hill to get to your top destination. So gorgeous. Watch out for the hill and stairs at the end close to top, take your time and eventually you will make it to the top.

Well worth the effort: the views on all the Windward side is amazing. Don't go on a cloudy day, because the view will not be as good. The hike goes through different vegetation as you climb. Make sure you bring water, it's not too difficult,...More

The hike is somewhat steep but the trail is well defined. The payoff is the absolutely incredible views once you reach the end of the trail. Both Windward Oahu and the SE part of Oahu present fantastic photo opportunities.

Whatever there is to do in Honolulu, then that is what others would do while you are on the hike. It is a pretty strenuous hike...lots of stairs and upward climbing.
