About
We do surf lessons for all ages. We have Private, Semi-private and group lessons. We are located right of the beach of the Hale Koa and Waikiki Shores. Surf lessons include all gear. Waikiki is one of the best places to learn because waves are year around. The waves are nice and long from beginner to advance rides. Lessons are about 90 minutes. You will definitely get a great rush of riding waves. We take pride in providing the best customer service.

My husband and I arrived in Waikiki and our hotel on top of a resort fee was charging $85.00 a day for two lawn carts and an umbrella. We got on the internet and found Beach Boy Hale. We booked two Tommy Bahama Chairs and a beach umbrella online for the next two weeks. We took a taxi to the store and Ron was so helpful. The taxi waited for us and returned us to our hotel. We had many guests ask us how we got the chairs and mentioned this fantastic store. One thing that was great that unlike the hotel umbrellas ours could be moved as the sun changed during the day. The ABC store umbrellas were always blowing away on the beach. The one we got from Ron was more secure. Super easy to return as we dropped if off on the way to the airport.

Everything was well laid out on their website. The store opened on time. Ron was very pleasant to deal with. My wife and I rented two Tommy Bahama chairs and a very sturdy Umbrella, for a total of four days. I was so happy to find Beach Boy Hale as I was searching the internet. The store was located three blocks from our hotel and beach. It was quite easy transporting the equipment to the beach as Ron also included a cart, which was larger than a typical cart or wagon. The wheels were very heavy duty. After each day at the beach we rolled everything right up to our hotel room. The beach was charging $85.00 for a one day rental of two chairs and an umbrella. What a savings! Our daughter will be in Oahu in the near future and we already shared this great find with her. I would also like to add that the chairs appeared brand new.

We’re a local family that lives on Oahu, so I did some research on the best place to rent stand up paddle boards. Beach Boy Hale won because of the customer service, convenience and price. It was exactly what we were looking for: someone to deliver the equipment to the water’s edge, help us get on the boards, and give us a few pointers. The equipment was top quality too.

I appreciate Ron’s responsiveness and professionalism - he answered all my questions. I was a little nervous to try SUP for the first time, but I watched the 5-minute video a couple times on the website beforehand. It was an awesome experience to paddle out on the water and view the beautiful island scenery. You forget even though we live here :). And we were greeted by few turtles as a bonus!

I highly recommend Ron Galindo and Beach Boy Hale. Enjoy your stay, be safe and take care of the island. Be kind, and kindness will come back to you. Mahalo!

Rented a Two Person Kayak at this location and walk to Duke Kahanamoku Lagoon and Fort DeRussy Beach to kayak - about a 10-15mins walk. It's a nice view to take pictures there too since it's less crowded compared to Waikiki Beach. I rented from 10am-12pm, I brought back the kayak about 10mins later but they were okay with it and the staff is really nice. He would send me picture location on where to kayak and show us the instructions on how to get there. Price here is very budget friendly compared to other shops.

We asked if they were another beach outfit that we were going to use, they said that we should use them instead and when we declined sent us down the beach in the opposite direction looking for our beach outfit.

This company employs shady characters, and I will alert the HVB, the BBB and any other entities, so they can clean up their act.

The outfit we chose was first class in every aspect.

We had a semi-private lesson with Jillian (two of us with her) and had a brilliant time! Jillian was very clear in her instructions and very patient (even when we didn't stay near the shore to go back to the beach!!)
We caught lots of waves and Jillian was very positive and encouraging, she made sure we both got plenty of chances to do some (half decent) surfing and had a good time.
After the lesson, there is a possibility to buy photos of yourself surfing, if you can afford them, it is well worth it as you get lots of pictures and it is a great memory!
One piece of advice: use waterproof suncream - the back of my legs burned!!!

1st lesson with Serge went well however there were no waves and found out that lesson shouldn't have been offered in these conditions. 2nd complementary lesson was great with lots of beginner waves. Good tourist lesson in a beautiful spot.

We took the first group lesson of the morning, 9 am in the morning, a group of 6 from teenagers to adults over 50, all beginners, in a 2 hour lesson, learn the basics of surfing and were able to stand up on the surf board and ride the waves. Very professional instructors. We were split in groups of 4 mixing with other beginners. Full attention to each individual as we got started on the waves. After catching a few waves, we were ready to do it on on our own. Lots of fun, and they even take picture of your success if you so desire to buy the pictures. Price for the lesson very affordable. We couldn't get any luckier.

We gave our 7 year-old daughter a private lesson and she had the BEST instructor!!! She was really worried about being out on the waves because she's really never been in the ocean (we live in TN) but Aaron C. made her completely comfortable. He even put her up on his shoulders during a long wave!!! It was so fun to watch and she had such a good time. She already can't wait to go surfing again. :-). Thanks AC!!!!!!!

It was my third visit to the island, and I finally got to try surfing. Ron who I believe is the owner of the company was our instructor. He was very patient and kind to us newbies. I think I lucked out since there was just 2 of us to take out, so the experience was very personal. I had so much fun and Ron was able to guide me to my first ride on the third attempt. Thank you for that.
I will admit, surfing is a lot of work, but the rewards are so worth it. I am so glad that I walked a bit further down away from the crowds and found Beach Boy Hale. I would recommend to everyone to give it a try, but make sure you are up to it!
Thanks Ron for the great experience of surfing for the first time!!
