We are in the heart of Waikiki Beach in front of the famous Duke's Restaurant in the Outrigger Resort. Everyday we teach people from all over the world to surf and Stand up Paddle, as well as ride waves on the ancient Hawaiian Canoe! It is our heart to impart all we have to you, to spread the love for the ocean and riding on waves though out the world! The ocean is our playground and place which brings peace and healing, by making friends and enjoying life together! This is a TOTAL MUST do whether you are young or older.. (or what we say "experienced in life") we have something for you to enjoy! Come alone and make friends or come with family and make memories! We are always available for questions! We came to HNL recently for my work trip and decided to take surfing lessons. My wife and I are 50 years old and my niece is a senior in college; we had never been on a surfboard before. Early in our trip we took our first lesson at another school on the island and were satisfied. But in talking with locals they kept recommending this school called Faith Surf.
Later in the week I found myself with a couple hours free in Waikiki and decided to take another lesson to reinforce what I had learned in my first lesson. I called Faith in the morning and had pleasant conversations with Tammy who was able to squeeze me into a group lesson later in the afternoon. When I showed up I learned that our instructor was none other than the legendary Tony Moniz.
Tony gave a very thorough safety briefing on the beach. He also gave some insightful coaching on how to handle ourselves in the crowded Canoes area where we would be surfing. In addition, he taught a pop up technique in detail that seemed easier for me to execute. We then headed out to paddle to the surf. Once there, Tony set me up on several waves that were just sweet; all I had to do was pop up and I was surfing. I also noticed my fellow students were consistently standing up and surfing with Tony's coaching and positioning.
I was able to chat with Tony while we sat on our boards waiting for the next set. Tony was friendly, pleasant and very humble. He never mentioned his many accomplishments as a pro surfer. He just said he was born and raised in the area and had been surfing all his life. Tony personifies the Aloha spirit for which Hawaii is famous, and has a big generous heart as well.
I'm so grateful the locals pointed me towards Faith Surf School. There's no better place to take your first surfing lessons in Waikiki than Faith.

This was the most exciting 30 minutes of our trip to Hawaii! The outrigger canoe was safe and stable, and our guide did a fabulous job of directing and steering us to catch the waves. We passed many surfers... I think they were watching in envy! The water was sparkling and the wind was in my hair.... and I'm 66. It was SO MUCH FUN!!!

We booked semi-private surfing lesson the June 20th at 11am with Faith Surf School for my two sons and my niece.
The kids had a blast and definitely had a great experience with the teacher who took them out on the waves.
My only issue, the photographs. We had 3 kids booked, but really only got maybe 8-10 decent shots of them up on the boards, yet they wanted to charge us $50 a person for these shots. That to me, is quite steep due to the limited amount of photographs that were taken for each kid.

If you want to learn to surf this is the place to start! They keep it fun and simple. Making it easy to catch your first waves. I followed Tony’s instructions and I was up on my feet the first wave, and he continued to give great pointers and made sure that it was an amazing experience. Everyone one of the staff were polite and extremely helpful.

Let me starry off with the fact that I’ve never written a review online before. The guys at Faiths made such an impression on me that I felt compelled to write my first one. I turned 50 last month. A bucket list goal for me has always been to surf the “old man” break at Waikiki. We tried three schools, one being Faiths. I’m not going to mention the other two schools but, they weren’t even in the same league as Faiths. These guys are true professionals that clearly have a passion for the sport, not the money. My wife and I had Evan for our instructor. He had us up and riding within 30 minutes. He got us in the right spots, picked the right waves and made sure we had clear lanes in and out. If you’re contemplating taking a lesson while on the island and don’t know who to use, do yourself a favor and use Faiths. These guys are the BEST!

Faith Surf School hosted our company for surf lessons as a team building exercise. The coordination with Faith Surf School was great and the instructors were wonderful. We had 30 people surfing and everyone was successful getting up on the surfboard. It was a great time.

Our instructor (Loren?) was patient and super helpful. I went with my 3 kids and had a private group lesson. He gave each one of us time and assistance and never felt rushed. They called us in the morning to let us know they were overbooked and moved our lesson to later in the day. It worked out for us and we appreciated the heads up and not just trying to squeeze us into the original time slot.

My daughter, son and two nieces took lessons at the Faith Surf School. They enjoyed the overall experiece but the instructors could / should have been a bit more patient as one of my nieces was a beginner. Also, photo and video footage were poor and prices were per person, which is outrageous, so opted not to purchase.

I booked Surf lessons for my wife and myself. We are first time surfers and we absolutely loved it. Our instructor was awesome. He took the time to explain everything we need to know and gave us tips out on the water. We even both were able to "ride some waves". Great location right on the beach in Waikiki. The information you get prior to your lessons are really valuable and help you from getting sunburn. We got some board burn from paddling out, so next time we will ask ahead what they recommend (Long sleeved shirt or so) especially since we will want to rent boards after another lesson. We are definitely coming back and doing this again. Thank you Faith Surf School

Tony provided excellent instruction during a private and first time surfing lesson for our 12 year old daughter. She really enjoyed it and my husband and I felt Tony was very careful and placed a lot of importance on safety. Amazing place to surf! Highly recommend this company and experience!

price is 65 for the lesson. and then after the lesson can i surf until i drop? is there any extra fee.? thank you.

The fee is just for the lesson. You can go and hire a board after that. I am not sure of fees.
