I really tried to enjoy the show. Unfortunately there was a beam blocking the visibility which made for an unpleasant experience. I wish I could've seen it in its entirety because it sounded like they put on a good show. If you decide to book VIP seating then understand that it's going to be a gamble with the seating since they choose where you'll sit. I'm sure if you get a good seat you'll have a pleasant time. I'm still really bumbed out about the view obstruction because I really was looking forward to the show.

Exactly what you’d hope for from a luau… excellent food, excellent entertainment, perfect atmosphere.

We were offered a luau at the Marriott Waikiki Beach resort at a discounted rate. We took advantage of the offer and we are glad did. We have been to many luaus over the years, but this is our first since the end of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Many things have changed since then, and this luau is a sample of things that have changed. Not that it was bad, I believe that just the lavishness of entertainment productions and food have diminished.
If I had to rate the luaus we have attended it is the Maui productions at the Hilton wailea, the lahina luau, the Polynesian cultural center and the luan here at the Marriott Waikiki Beach resort as the best.
The food was delicious, but offerings of dishes limited per post pandemic standards. Drinks were free flowing and included options of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. I would like to have seen more protein offerings, maybe teriyaki chicken or Hawaiian short ribs, but everything about the food was great.
The entertainment included Hulu dancers, and dances from specific islands, Tahiti, Tonga Samoa etc. the highlight of the entertainment was the Samoan fre dancers.
In all one of the best we have attended.

The show was entertaining. Good waiters also. The seating was a bit tight but OK. The food was good and plentiful. Overall, a good show and buffet.

Buying VIP was the best decision. It was an amazing show. The wait staff and entertainment was outstanding. Beautiful singing, dancing, and delicious food. I would definitely recommend this! I can't wait to come back and do it again .....

We spent two glorious weeks on Oahu. Having visited the island many times before we did not need to attend any of the usual activities. We enjoyed spending time by and in the ocean, along with excellent food and drinks relaxing on the beach 🏖️.

Wife n I enjoyed it very much( was wanting to see the whole pig with apple in his mouth,LOL, but it was great n food was great especially the Prime rib & pulled pork

What a beautiful Luau. The roof top setting was striking. Greeted by a a smiling happy hostess who explained the plan for the evening. We were served a delicious cocktail as soon as we were seated. Food was delicious. Hot and plentiful. Try the purple rolls if you can. So darn good.
Entertainment was wonderful. When we come back to Oahu next year this Luau will be a must do event

The food was great, the show was excellent. It did rain a little but that is not their fault. It took a little while for our table to be called for food and the drinks were a little expensive but that is normal for anywhere in Hawaii. Show was over at 8 still even though we paused for rain. Overall we had a great time.

What an amazing luau in the heart of Waikiki. Both the food and the service were fantastic. The entertainment lasted throughout the dinner and beyond. I took my grandson and for a 16 year old, he was totally impressed. I really liked that they included the audience towards the end. Will definitely be back!
