We booked this show very last minute through our hotel concierge. It was New Years Eve and we had zero dinner plan. While this is booked as a luau, it is more of a stage show with Elvis and Michael Jackson impersonators. While not what I was expecting, it was really some decent family fun. Think Vegas style performance. Luau food was decent. Prime Rib was quite good. Buffet seating was quite crowded however. If you’re looking for a stage show, this is really kinda fun. If you want a more traditional luau, you would appreciate some of the other venues on the island that are outdoors along the beach. This is in a shopping mall.

Our family of 4 attended this Luau tonight, after looking around for the best Luau on Oahu! We all had a great time, and the buffet dinner was really well enjoyed! The show afterwards was spectacular!! All of the performers, which included talented singers, dancers, fire baton, Elvis and Michael Jackson impersonators, were beyond talented and entertaining!! Cannot recommend enough!

This is not your typical luau show hence the name, Rock-a-hula! However I enjoyed the fusion of Elvis and MJ with the Polynesian twist.
The food options are amazing, as you can find something for every group to enjoy. I especially loved the Teri chicken and carving station. Sooo ono! I suggest you go up for seconds.
As for the dance crew, staff and management, what an amazing team. The dancers looked enthusiastic to be there. Btw, the pregnant lady dancing so gracefully and keeping up with everyone was special. The staff and management were so accommodating and always working with a smile. Shout out to Deyvon! Oh and I can't forget the impersonators for Elvis & MJ, as well as the fire knife dancer and the local artist, Mahealani. Thank you for making it a memorable night. You guys made the show with the energy you brought to the stage.
Overall, it was an A-mazing show and I can't wait to go back.

DO NOT BOOK THIS EXPERIENCE. My two friends and I attended the Rockahula experience as vips in late august. Unfortunately, we really did not enjoy the experience. The quality of the dinner was very low to the point that one of our party did not eat it. It was unlike the other hawaiian food we ate on our trip. The venue for dinner was also loud and strange, when we read that it would be outdoors we did not picture a mall rooftop next to a road. The seating for dinner was also cramped and unenjoyable. Additionally, the process of being herded through the different parts of dinner and going to the show was slow and strangely managed.

The show was also disappointing, we were especially shocked and confused that about a third of the show featured Michael Jackson. We researched later and found he has no significant connection to Hawaii. If we had known of this cameo before seeing the show, we would not have attended.

Throughout the experience your staff were friendly, which was a bright point of the evening. However, our party left the event wishing we hadn't attended. For the price of the event, we expected a quality meal and show and we left dissatisfied. We brought this concern up to the customer service and were basically told “too bad” and received no kind of compensation or refund. It took months before someone was able to get back to us and our email was ignored until we called. Very poor customer experience.

OH NO!!! VIP nooooo....

Wife wanted a luau while staying in Waikiki Beach and wife told the hotel concierge that we wanted a real beach luau. She advised it was booked up and see what could be done. (She was great). She called while we were leaving the Pearl Harbor Memorial and explained that she found one inside with dinner and luau dancing. I was skeptical but wife still wanted to experience it. So I agreed (she’s the wife) anyhow not what we thought, especially for $165, it was a gentleman playing and singing from the Midwest and it was young man and one young girl mostly doing the luau. The food wasn’t good at all; most everyone’s steak was RARE, chicken was tender, the veggies are what they are and pineapple was fresh. We spoke with others around us about their thoughts and they too were displeased. Save money this isn’t worth it. Just keeping it.

Reading through the other reviews, I feel like we must have seen a completely different show. We went in January 2024 and it was dreadful. Dancing was poor and amateurish, the Elvis and Michael Jackson impersonators were very average. The highlight was the young man who did the fire dance, he was really very professional and gave a skilled performance. Sadly, we wouldn’t recommend this show to anyone.

This show has no continuity. It starts with Hawaii in the 20’s and goes through the 70’s and then goes to Michael Jackson and an unknown (to us)female singer. We bought our tickets online 24 hours in advance, so there was a discount of $20. We paid $49 for the show only. It’s an older theater, but all of the seats are good. The show starts out very lively, the band is excellent. The Elvis impersonator is pretty good, however his finish was stronger than his beginning. When Michael Jackson comes out the Hawaii vibe ends. The MJ impersonator is a great dancer, as are the other dancers in the show. There is a female singer that holds the microphone so close to her mouth, that you can’t understand her. Then at the end they throw a Fire Dancer in, he is great, but it’s just not cohesive. The Band is excellent, but I would save your money. You can find some free music on Waikiki Beach that would probably be more enjoyable.

Had VIP tickets but service was extremely poor. Seated at 5:45PM, was not served main course until 7:45 and only because I brought problem up to server. Received main dish at 7:00PM but it was barely warm. Sent it back and did not received another plate until 7:15PM. Again, it was barely warm. Ate some of it but was not pleased. Served desert at 7:40PM exactly when the stage show was starting. Never did receive additional water, did not receive any coffee, and failed to get any bar service. The show was okay but have seen much better. Elvis impersonator had PASTE ON sideburns which detracted from image. Only sang a little of each song but never did a complete song. Also, dancers moving around stage during presentation was distracting and annoying. Michael Jackson impersonator was okay. Band music was best part of the show. NO manager was available at conclusion of show to contact about experience. Visit to Polynesian Cultural Center show and buffet are by far the best way to spend your money. Had to apologize to my guests as my prior salesmanship of show was disappointing. Not worth the money, nor time and will never go again.

I knew going into this show it wasn't a true Luaus. The show was average and have seen better on Cruise Ships. The service and food was terrible. They advertise a lobster for the VIP package and all you get is 1/2 a lobster tail. Also, the food was late getting to our table and it was cold. It was replaced but by the time we started our main course, people were started to sit down after the buffet version above us. Hard to eat a meal with people looking over you. I complained to the staff and didn't really get anywhere. I was referred to the Hawaii Luaus in regards to a refund and after a few emails (they said they met their requirement) they gave me a $20 discount. To me, if you go, don't get the VIP package. I would suggest another venue if possible.

Fantastic food. The location was magnificent with breezes all around the outside venue. The service was above and beyond. Sheena made us feel warm and fuzzy Cannot give more than 5 stars but wish we could.
