When we visited parking was a little hard to find a spot and was extremely busy bit anywhere on the weekend it is expected to be busy here. Beautiful park that should not be missed!

A large area with ample tree shade for picnicing. The beach and swim pool leave a lot to be desired, located near the mouth of the canal ... and the canal run off.

Very crowded beach. The park is filled with homeless people most of the time. I wouldn't walk on my own in the dark. Not a very soft sand, rather rocky.

Yes, it is open during the fireworks. I believe the park closes at 10pm.
