I walked along Ala Moana Blvd from Aloha tower and decided to do a (literal) side trip along Ala Moana Beach Park. Families are gathered and even though tents were not allowed, there were a lot of tents set up. It was a clear day for a walk and I just sat in a quiet area in the park. Good... More

Oahu is experiencing a homeless crisis. There are estimated 5,000 homeless in Oahu and they set themselves up in parks. We needed a change from the huge waves in Waikiki, so we decided to go to Ala Moana. right by the marina, across from ala Moana shopping center, and away from the crowds at Waikiki. Swim here and have the water practically to yourself
