We had Alex as our instructor. He was brilliant! Extremely professional, patient, great at putting across concepts and was extremely thorough in making sure we had our skills down. LivingOcean Scuba were extremely professional, fun and I would definitely use them again and recommend them and only them to anyone wanting to dive in Oahu, Hawaii.

I do not normally write reviews but it was necessary for this. As a first time diver with out any certifications I had some fears/concerns about diving. These were quickly erased after a spending time pointing out the keys to a great dive. We were reminded of these tips to a great diving again before entering the water. We dove with Greg who was very patient with everyone in our group. He quickly made everyone comfortable as we reached the bottom. He then pointed out lots of great scenes and fish that we could have easily passed over with out him there. In between dives he gave more tips to make the second dive better then our first. His partner Alex also helped us remove the fog from our brand new masks. We heard about the adventures of Alex's group and his group seemed to enjoy every minute of their dive!
I would highly recommend Greg and Alex! This company takes the time to make sure you will have the greatest dive possible. They were easy to book with, offered a discount for a second dive which we booked before we got back to our hotels!

WOW. I am having trouble putting into words how incredible my experience was with Living Ocean Scuba. Both reef dives were unbelievable, being surrounded by sea turtles was a surreal experience. Shoutout to Alex for making a certified yet very new diver like me feel comfortable and calm, while also providing the best experience possible in the beautiful waters of Hawaii. If you're going to dive on Oahu, I highly recommend Living Ocean!!

This is one of the best things we’ve done during the 2020 pandemic, getting our Open Water PADI certification with Living Ocean Scuba. There were two main points that really convinced my 12yo son and I that this operation was the best on Oahu: Four open water dives during the certification and the owner, David’s, commitment and professionalism.
David's extensive personal experience and knowledge truly shined during the course. Stories and anecdotes complemented his patience and attentiveness during class. He ensured both of us fully understood the PADI guidelines. He helped us (especially me) transform what started off as never-seen-before terms on a webpage into real life dive skills. He was sharp and intuitive at recognizing individual differences/challenges/habits. I truely appreciated his feedback after each dive, every observation helped me to improve my diving skills.
Because of this environment, I was able to relax and enjoy our dives and I highly recommend this company. Living Ocean Scuba IS the one you can trust and rely on while you are under the surface in Hawaii...

My family of four (wife and two kids, ages 14 and 22) and I went diving for the first time ever in Honolulu with living Ocean. We have only praise and gratitude to this bunch of easy going and highly professional individuals for the amazing experience they provided us. they picked us up at our hotel, taught us with ease the mechanisms of diving, the handling of the equipment, and the various procedures, and then spent a few hours with us leading us to two diving expeditions, seeing the magnificent water life, of the Island. If you never wore a diving mask or breathed under water like us, you would appreciate the thrill we had, and how grateful we were for the experienced hands of all instructors and captain. We had a blast, and we hope many more will enjoy this small group of highly experienced instructors and guides. A special shoutout to the boat captain Erik, the coolest of captains in the entire pacific, and to Brian our instructor, whose beard competes with any pirate you ever seen and his ease in the water is matched only by poseidon himself.

I have dived in many places and experienced some really great dive companies and some really scary ones. I was very happy when the dive guide picked me up on time, gave everyone the rundown on the day, was very organized and professional and super friendly. Gear was in good shape and preped before the first dive. Safety appeared to be high on the list but having a good dive was up there too. When you know the dive shop has there act together it just makes the day relaxing and fun.

Our dive master was super cool, so funny, but also very professional and extremely safe. The group I dove with was only three people and the dive master, which was so nice. He was able to make sure everyone was doing well at all points during the dive, was incredibly knowledgeable about the areas we dove and the wildlife there, and even brought extra wetsuits for everyone because he thought the water might be a little cold for us. I'm not sure how much of this people generally expect on a dive trip, but in my opinion he went out of his way to make sure it was a good experience for everyone. 10/10, would dive with them again.

I purchased a dive for my certified diver and me the non cert. From the very beginning working with this company was just great. First talking with the company over the phone, to figure out what was best and giving me all the information I needed to make the best choice. Secondly the follow up email with all the information I need to know for day of. Thirdly, day of first hand experience with the crew was just spot on. The briefing, our small groups so our dive instructor (Alex, hands down awesome) can give us undivided attention and help. Our captain (Eric) was informative and helpful. The boat had great snacks , cooler with drinks and just the vibe was wonderful. We got two dives in and the beauty underneath the ocean was worth all the pennies and then some. We will be back!!

This was one of the best diving trips I've ever gone on. The crew was so helpful, fun, knowledgeable and caring. Had an absolutely great time and would recommend living ocean to anyone who was thinking of scuba or snorkel.

On 2/10/2020, Living Ocean took me on a wreck dive to see the Sea Tiger. The second dive was a reef dive. The preparation, dives and return were well coordinated and very professional. The boat captain and dive guides were courteous and provided briefings about what to expect. There were no surprises and everything went as planned. I would dive with them again and recommend this shop for anyone, whether novice or advanced. Of course, you need to be certified and listen to the advice they give. I want to thank the shop for the good memories of my two dives.

Your dog would be left on the boat when you snorkel. It’s Not very conducive to bringing your pets in my opinion. I doubt they would allow this, unless it’s a service animal. Best to contact the company.

I recently did the Turtle Canyon snorkeling. The staff was amazing. However that day it seemed like the area they usually go was having some swim training and the area was closed off. We were taken to another area. Didn’t see anything. No turtles, no fishes. Absolutely nothing. Is it possible we can get a refund?
