Kuhio Beach is a nice family friendly beach located a few blocks from where we were staying. It is protected by a breakwater. It has a pleasant park attached where one cansit and have a picnic or just sit in the shade.It has a very large Banyan Tree located within this park.

It's a nice beach;but I have to admit, it's really crowded! I had too wait at least a half hour, so someone could leave, to get their spot on the sand! The beach unfortunatly is not that wide, and the shade shacks have to do something about the homeless that sleep there.

Great family beach to visit, in walking distance from most hotels in Waikiki. It is surrounded by a breakwater which protects the area and keeps out the surfers. It also has a small stand serving drinks etc. at the back of the beach.

This beach in central part of Waikiki, and close walking distance from several hotels There is free entertainment on some nights as well, and can see a bit of the fire works each Friday night. (if you can walk, go further down toward Lewers street and walk to beach from
