I bought a semiprivate lesson for my 17 year old daughter. She loved it! She thought this was one of the best things we did on our trip. The instructors were a great group of guys. So nice and patient. Instructions were clear and they are very safety aware. Owner took pictures for us during lesson. Definitely worth buying. The... More

Good instruction for new surfer, unless you get the guy that has no patience for people that dont get it right away. Other than that, the breaks they use are great as they are no where near all the Waikiki flotsam and jetsam of all the other surf schools. Same easy to learn on waves. Wait for your wave as... More

This was my first time ever trying surfing. The lesson is detailed and easy to follow. By the time you get to the water, you know exactly what to do. Our instructor was Pablo. He was funny and kind, but also to the point which made me feel safe. I could tell he knew what he was doing, and he... More

I surfed some back in FL about 40 years ago. But, I have not touched a board since. I wanted to declare to my adult sons back home that I had "surfed in HI!" Well, I DID! Waves were not the most cooperative, but you can't control nature. We had a great time, a lot of laughs and I got... More

We booked semiprivate and private lessons out of Ko Olina /Aulani. I surfed with my two daughters who are 6 and 10. We loved it. They picked us up at the hotel. Dean and Uncle Hanky were our instructors. My daughters loved them. They were awesome. (Uncle Hanky sang to my 6 yo while surfing with her)Got all of us... More

We arrived in Honolulu on June 24th, my 9 year old daughter declared" I will surf before I go home". We figured we had better get on that and contacted the concierge at the hotel. They booked us in with a group for the next day. Our instructor Rick was fabulous and made up all feel very comfortable with the... More

My two daughters and I (12 & 17) took a group lesson in Ko Olina on July 7th. From the minute they picked us up at the Aulani, to the time we returned, the experience was outstanding! We did many things on our 16-day trip, and the surf lesson stands out above all others. The driver who picked us up... More

Our instructor Akolu took us to the famous North Shore on Oahu. At this time of year in July the waves are a very modest size compared to the winter - ideal for learning and without the crowds at Waikiki. Not only was Akolu a patient, encouraging and successful instructor (we both got to standing position several times), he was... More

Friendly & experienced staff, all 3 if us were able to stand, and we'd all like to try it again. Downside was a lot of up-front instructions with the larger group at tge hotel rather than the 1:3 ratio we expected when we booked a private lesson. We felt this reduced the time we had in the water.
