I loved the 10 Miles of Smiles Tour! John was very helpful to ease my anxiety and answer all of my questions before booking. Our guide, Daniel, was very informative, safety minded, and friendly. Even though we were on e-bikes, the first 5 miles were all uphill and proved to be a nice workout for this 65 year old, but not too much. We stopped several times to enjoy the views and several areas were simply magical! At the top of the rainforest we rode into a light shower that felt so fresh and smelled so clean. The downhill 5 miles were exhilarating. We had our hands on the brakes at all times and Daniel kept us at a fun pace, but never where I felt in danger. Do your research on all the tours that Bike Hawaii offers and book early, you will be glad you did!

We were booked for the West O'ahu Combo - Palehua Hike, Sail and Snorkel but due to the windy weather our snorkel and sail got cancelled. The company offered to reschedule but unfortunately it was our last night there so we were issued our refund quickly.

We ended up just doing the 1.5 mile hike called Palehua Ridge with Terry and it was still great! We were the only ones on the tour so Terry answered all of our questions and gave us a TON of wonderful history and background about Hawaii and the culture. We ended up having a great tour despite the bad weather disrupting the snorkel/sailing!

Thanks so much Terry! Highly recommend any tour with Terry!

This was a beautiful sailing experience. It was a relaxing setting. The most beautiful blue water. Got an opportunity to see some beautiful fish and even a few large beautiful turtles. Captain Krash and Glenn were so down-to-earth. They are clearly knowledgeable and willing to share. I learned so much. Sushi (the 4-legged sea life detector) was a pleasure. She is so lovable. She had me wrapped around her little paw. I also appreciate the snacks and beverages. This is a family friendly experience. There is no alcohol aboard this boat. I loved that the most. I also like that fresh water is available for rinsing off after snorkeling in the salty ocean. Also thankful that snorkel gear is provided. I will do this sail again. I highly recommend this experience.

I was really looking forward to doing this activity and I wasn't disappointed. Terry picked up from the collection point, he was friendly & made me feel comfortable straight away. The bike ride was fun & Elika, made sure everyone was safe & having fun. The snorkeling was amazing & Elika encouraged everyone to give it a try, even spending time with people who had never swam before. We saw heaps of fish & lots of sea turtles. I highly recommend this. Elika definitely made it an fun, relaxed & enjoyable time.

We booked the tour as we thought it was an ideal way to see the valley and vist film sets from Jurassic Park etc.
Arrived at 10am, guide arrived shortly after. He introduced himself, checked everyone in, then announced he would have to call for another bus, as there were too many of us. We climbed aboard first bus, to be driven to the back of the building...... we could have all walked!
The bikes were laid out on the grass after been taken out of a shipping container.
We were allocated bikes, we are experienced bikers and ended up with kids bikes, not in the best condition and dirty.
We rode around a field to see if the bikes were ok, this is because when the tours end, they are not cleaned or checked, just putback into the container.
We had a safety talk, were given snack bars and water, this seemed to take forever. The guides filled their water pouches up, and got their bikes checked...surely they should have got their gear etc ready before we arrived.
Eventually after 80 mins we set off.
We had 2 guides, unfortunately I can’t remember the girls name, however she was very enthusiastic, obviously loved biking, and showing off her island home.
Ranolph however, having just return from a 2 week vacation, was still in holiday mode, I have never met a guide so unmotivated, and actually appeared hung over, he kept disappearing into the bushes.....
It was quiet a large group, however there were options of single track or easier trails, most of us took the few opportunités for the single track, much to Ranolphs displeasure, as he was hoping to take a slower group.
The scenery was amazing and we enjoyed seeing the valley on bikes rather than a tour bus, or ATV’s.
We biked for approx 3 hours, with plenty of opportunities for photos along the way.
We returned back to the ranch for a much needed lunch.
Disappointed only to have a half a sandwich, packet of crisps and water, albeit icy cold.
We paid $135pp, for a tour on hard tail bikes, that hadn’t been cleaned from previous rides, with one guide, who really didn’t give much instruction to those who clearly hadn’t ridden mountain bikes before.
All in all, find it hard to recommend the tour at this price, lunch was pretty appalling.
The whole experience could have been improved, if the bikes had been checked before putting back into the shipping container. Kids bikes given to kids!!!!!!! Full sandwich and maybe piece of fruit, and choice of soft drinks?????
Apparently Bike Hawaii will not be operating next year, as the ranch will organise their own tours, hopefully in a more professional manner.

Aloha Steve, I would like to address your comments on our mountain bike tour. First, you are so right that mountain biking is one of the best ways to see Ka'a'awa Valley at Kualoa. Indeed sir, the views are amazing from anywhere along this journey. We did have a big group this day so we had several staff on hand to help. For our customers who don't take our complimentary transportation from Waikiki, they elect to meet us at 10am. Thank you for being prompt. Many times we have asked customers who meet at the ranch to walk up the road to meet us at our bike staging area only to find they got confused, then lost only to delay the start of the tour. So, we send down the van to minimize this potential problem. Second, we would never issue a child's bike to an adult. After speaking with our guides, they pointed out that the small frame "adult" bikes were given to the shortest riders that day, which is standard practice. Our entire fleet is maintained by our mechanic, however, being touring mountain bikes, they likely were a bit dirty and dusty, but mechanically sound, I assure you. As for our guide Rodolf, he did return from a trip, but he is extremely knowledgeable, exudes every aspect of "aloha" and has a very laid back personality that most people enjoy. When you say he was "disappearing into the bushes", we have strict rules pertaining to ranch operations and one of them is closing every gate after we pass thru. Sorry that it can slow the tour down, but, it is a requirement in exchange for the privilege of riding at scenic Kualoa Ranch. Last of all, our lunch is a complimentary treat from Bike Hawaii and is given to each guest as we always have for the past 18 years. This is not a lunch or foodie tour, it is a mountain bike tour with a bonus free lunch. I am sorry that you didn't enjoy your experience like the rest of the group did. So, we welcome you back to do it again or another one of our unique adventures soon. With aloha, the staff and management of BikeHawaii.com

The tour starts 1500 feet above Honolulu and you bike downhill at up to a speed of 30 miles per hour! Ilan led the way and he was such a great guide. Kept us all safe and sound and Rodolfo followed in a van so no car worries! My sons were impressed their 64 year old Dad kept up with them. Very exhilarating and sorry it couldn't be longer. But them, they bussed us to the harbor for a boatride out to snorkel. Our boat driver (Captain Krash - yes, his true moniker!) was hilarious but also very very safety conscious. He and his associate did a great job of teaching mostly rookies how to snorkel safely. Once we were in the water Ilan led us out to where the sea turtles hang out and it was absolutely amazing! 3 times a turtle surfaced with 2-3 feet of me. What a great experience with my sons! A must if in Honolulu. You cant get two better guides than Ilan and Captain Krash!!

Recently, my husband and I enjoyed a week on Oahu with our adult children and their spouses. Wanting to do as much as we could for the short week we were there, we decided to spend one of the days (Oct. 18, 2018) with the Hike, Bike, Sail and Snorkel adventure. The day far exceeded our expectations and created some lasting memories.
The hike into the rainforest was awesome and just the right amount of challenging. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable and just plain fun to be around. Fortunately, hiking sticks and insect repellent were provided. We waded at the base of the waterfall at the top which was beautiful and refreshing! The downhill bike ride was great fun and provided many beautiful vistas. When I found out that the snorkeling was going to be at Turtle Canyon I was stoked because our outrigger guide, just the day before, had said that was one of the best places to observe sea turtles. Our snorkel guide was also a PHD (almost) in marine biology, and he was able to dive down and bring up close a few really awesome sea creatures. I think it's safe to say that we would all do it again when the opportunity presents itself. Big thumbs UP!!

This is a fantastic tour that offers so many add ons. We only participated in the bike and hike portions, however you can go on to do sailing and snorkelling as well, and all in one day! Our guide Terii was very passionate about his work and his focus was clearly on his guests having a great time in Oahu. The scenery was beautiful, the bike ride was downhill, and the view from the top spanned half of Oahu. Just breath-taking! I wish I’d done the sailing and snorkelling, I could’ve toured all week with the Bike Hawaii crew.

We had a fantastic time, from our pickup through til drop off- Rodolfo our guide was friendly informative and funny. We hiked the trail to Manoa Falls, short easy hike. It was great to have our guide who informed us of flora and fauna and the story of the area. Be prepared to get muddy. The falls were nice a but a bit too much humanity for my liking. We then got back on the van for a 20 minute ride to bag lunch at the top of tantalus. Decent sandwiches. We then got a 5 min instructional and then the 5 mile downhill- loads of fun. I had my 9 yr old on a tandem - it was about a 6 hr affair from pick up to drop off highly recommended- I want to do a bigger one now :)

I had a great afternoon! It was a half day package and started with a drive up to an amazing spot - Tantalus lookout - with sensational views of Oahu. The bike ride down the hill/mountain was easy, not much pedalling involved but a lot of using the brakes. It was so nice zooming downhill in the shade of all the overhanging trees. After the ride then it was on to the boat for a sail out to a spot where we anchored and had plenty of time for a snorkel. The best part was seeing the turtles! They were so close and you could see the on the bottom of the ocean getting their shells cleaned by little fish. Great stuff! Fantastic afternoon. The turtles were the highlight for me and of course Sushi the dog!
