There are strong currents that rip parallel to the shore and out the channel; so, if you do not know the waters ASK! There are lifeguards after 10am, before that time there are plenty locals there to swim, surf, or snorkel. Ask a local about the conditions, tell them what your level of expertise is, and they will give you... More

If you swim out towards the flag, you might see turtles! But remember not to touch them! Bring goggles, fins, and ocean-friendly sunscreen.

For a truly outstanding, delicious breakfast with a beautiful beach view you can not beat The Hau Terrace at The New Omani Kaimana Beach Hotel. We had their classic eggs Benedict made with orange juice instead of lemon juice in the Hollandaise

If you're staying in Waikiki, this is where returning visitors who want to avoid crowds and traffic come, and it's only a half mile from the center of Waikiki. It's small and hidden by an unused monument, the Outrigger Canoe Club and a small park fronting on Kalakaua Avenue.

This is a small beach in front of the The New Otani / Kamana Beach Hotel and the eastern end Kalakaua Avenue and east of the Natatorium. There is a small sandy beach area for sitting, wading, and swimming. It is a quiet relaxing area, more for the kids. There is a small convenience store attached to the street side... More

for a busy part of Honolulu that gets tons of tourist foot traffic each day, this beach has a refreshingly calm atmosphere. With plenty of space in the sand, or on the grass/tables reserved for cook outs, this beach can accommodate your group for any occasion.

This strip is located way south of the Waikiki Beach, and New Otani Hotel is located in this beach. Not swimmable beach. Narrow strip of beach....

Nice small beach near the Natatorium. Parking is somewhat of a challenge but once you get there, it will be well worth the effort. The sand there is wonderful and there are very few rocks. The beach is quite wide so you don't feel crowded. Numerous condos and smaller hotels in the area but you are far enough away from... More

Never crowded. Bring a mat or beach chair. Showers convenient. Nice, protected beach inside the reef (no waves). Warm water. Signs posted warning for jellyfish, but we did not encounter any

This beach is down the Diamond Head end of Waikiki and is in fact the last beach. Walk past the Natatorium War Memorial and you are there. Great swimming and snorkeling, Lifeguard, Toilets, shade, drinking fountain. This is much quieter than Waikiki main beaches and much more relaxed. One of my favorites.
