I have be coming to this beach since I was 5. It is a local spot and there is plenty of parking and not a lot of people. The water and sand are beautiful and you can snorkel as well. The is also a lifeguard station, so someone is watching if you are going with a family. There is also... More

I have been coming to kaimanas with locals for several years now. You can often find free parking. But if not, cross the street and they have reasonably priced meter parking. This beach is so quiet and relaxing with a nice view of diamond head...love it.

Kaimana Beach is where many Local Folks from Oahu go to hang out. The hustle and bustle of the tourists is further down and so are the crowds.

Keep this Beach a Secret and for good reason. This is the only local spot left in Waikiki. Good Memories

I stayed at the beachfront hotel at Kaimana Beach with my mom. This was meant to be a relaxing vacation and this beach allows you to do just that. The water was absolutely breathtaking. The sounds from the waves will just put you to sleep. The beach during the week is not very crowded. The weekend is busier, but still... More

Most people do not wander this far up Kalakaua Avenue that is why this beach is blissfully uncrowded as compared to the Major Waikiki beaches. The local families like to have birthday parties and beach barbecues near this beach on the weekend. I have even seen Baptisms being performed on Easter Sunday in the ocean(so sweet and beautiful). There is... More

The beach is just ten minutes walk from Waikiki towards Diamond Head but much nicer and less crowded. This is entirely sandy beach no rocks. Has access to live reef for some great snorkeling. Unfortunately there are no chairs or umbrellas that you can rent...bring your own.

What a lovely beach just outside the hotel. Seems to attract quite a crowd from all over. People rush to get parking on the streets. There are public restrooms all over the place so that makes it nice for families. There is a zoo close by and a museum next door. I would visit again, so would you.

This beach traditionally belongs to the locals. Located next to busy Waikiki beach, this has less of a hotel only feel. Kapiolani park is directly behind the beach. The old Natatorium where Duke once swam is a good landmark for the location. The water is refreshing and the sand can become extremely hot. There is a lifeguard on duty during... More

Meter park on Kalakua Blvd, (be careful to keep the meter fed), grab a plate lunch from one of the numerous purveyors, eat at one of the benches in the shaded grassy areas, and enjoy the clean caim water and the soft sand. Perfect for snorkeling. No wonder it is so popular with locals, but still Uncrowded.
