Nice neighborhood beach, hard to get to, parking can be a challenge.

The sea breeze is nice if you come on a summer day, the green foliage covers the sitting area, you can sit there and very much will bring you back in time to a youthful and worry free day. Winter can be a bit cold though.

We got married on this beach and it couldn't have been more perfect :-) Nobody else except for us was there,so if you are looking for a less crowded beautiful beach, this is the beach to go to.

Used a lot on weekends for picnickers/wind surfers. A great place for a beach weddings & photo shoots during the weekdays. Beautiful serene beach, ocean, waves and grassy areas near the water for weddings. Many coconut trees, a view of Koko head and at times the island of Molokai, Maui in the distance. I love the Kahala coast beaches. There is so much street parking and easy access, it's hard not to want to stop. One issue for some, is there are no bathrooms or showers. That's where Waialae Beach Park comes in!

Located just outside of the Kahala Resort area, it's super easy to find and park in the dedicated free parking. Look for the park with the giant bridge connecting the two sides. The park has nice restrooms, plenty of showers, picnic tables, charcoal disposal areas, and a shade stand for parties or people wanting to stay out of the sun.

The beach here is gorgeous; it offers a view of Kahala all the way to Hawaii-Kai and Koko Head beyond. It's very shallow, easy to wade or walk out far. The bottom is a mix of tough coral rock and soft sand, so watch where you step. The sand is nice here. There are many trees that offer to shade to those wishing to keep cool. It's also a nice and easy walk to the little islands at the resort, all open to the public of course.

This is a genuinely nice place to spend the afternoon, not at all far from the bustling beaches of Waikiki.

We chose this as our wedding location because it is not as crowded as the other beaches and it is near to the city. We made sure that we had our ceremony during the weekdays because it tends to be busy during the weekends. When we got there we have the whole place by ourselves. They have a small parking area so make sure to come early to be able to get a spot in the parking. The water is very clear. Its a good place for sunbathing but if your going to take a deep I suggest you wear a water shoes because the beach is very rocky.

We visited this place and it was not really crowded, we saw 4 couple of Japanese people getting their pictures taken for their wedding. The waters were really clear and manageable to swim, some locals around and very peaceful day overall.

More secluded than other beaches, especially Waikiki, makes the drive over worth it. Views of Koko Head, other islands, and the water are amazing. Make this a stop for you, even if it requires driving in Oahu traffic. Go earlier in the morning to fight some of the traffic and relax.

This was our first beach we visited in Oahu. It is very beautiful and very convenient to Waikiki hotels. However, we went here for the soul purpose of swimming and found soon after arriving that wasn't the best option. The water is fairly shallow and the sand beneath you is very rocky and sharp and hurts your feet. Besides that, if you want to go out far enough to swim where its not so shallow, you must swim over a reef which is unpleasant to feel.
Also parking is very limited (like all of Oahu) and the beach is pretty small so plan on going in the evening or morning before crowd get there or you will have no space.

For being so close to Waikiki this picturesque beach is surprisingly Uncrowded. It eve feels romantic. Koko Head makes a great backdrop for selfies.

Peaceful, quiet, shade trees and beautiful views. Higher surf breaking in the distance. Nice place for a picnic, weddings or relaxing away from the crowds
