We SO enjoyed our afternoon with Gone Surfing! We had four kids, ages 10, 11, 12, and 14, along with four 40-something parents. We all got up on the first few tries, and continued to ride waves as our instructors positioned us and gave us that essential push that allowed us to catch waves. There were folks right next to... My boyfriend and I booked a private lesson. I ended up sitting it out due to health reasons (the team were great at arranging a partial refund and had a shaded area for me to sit on at the beach). My boyfriend had an awesome time, got up on his first try and had several more successes afterwards. As a... More

I'd highly recommend Gone Surfing and we had a very memorable experience with them. We had a 2 hour family lesson ; my wife and I, our 7 year old son and 2 instructors. Shawn got both of us 40 somethings standing up and surfing in no time at all; such a great feeling riding a wave towards Waikiki with... More

You might be hesitant to believe that you can manage to get on a board as a complete surfing novice and also otherwise not sporty person, like myself. Gone surfing really delivers! Both our instructors for our family where so good, passionate and friendly that the miracle really happened and we all had a super great time, we all managed... More

My wife and I booked a private surfing lesson with Gone Surfing Hawaii. It was a truly great experience, in particular because of our guides, Trevor and Bailey. They really made the day a success where we both caught a number of waves even though it was the first time for both of us. I really cant say enough positive... More

My wife and I were total nubes at surfing, the instructors of Gone Surfing showed us exactly what to do in a fun and easy going environment. We went out with our instructor Kevin to hit the waves and had an absolute blast. We had 1 instructor for the 2 of us and really felt like we had a VIP... More

This is our second trip to Honolulu and we booked a couple of hours each day for surfing lessons with Gone Surfing, because of the great experience we had with them on the first trip. We requested Trevor again as our instructor and he did not let us down. Excellent instructor and excellent company!!!!

The break we surfed 'pops' was super mellow not too crowded and had long rides. I had such a great time I booked another session This time I... More

My 18 yr. old son and his girlfriend took surfing lessons from Gone Surfing and stated that it was the most enjoyable part of our 7 days on Oahu. Kevin was a great instructor, friendly, fun, and taught them a lot. Highly recommend Gone Surfing.

Concierge referred and booked a semi-private lesson for my adult daughter and me (40's)! Shawn, our instructor, walked us from our hotel to our surf spot. I won't lie - I had serious anxiety and almost didn't commit. Shawn was super sweet, patient and made me feel confident that I could do this and that he "had my back". OMG...one... More
