We hike up for sunset. About 1050 steps. It's a difficult hike but worth it once you on top. Take tiny water break, don't stop too long it will be difficult to hike up. Just bring a water bottle. If you do sunset, remember to bring a flash light with you.

Take your time and climb this crater. It is old railroad ties up about 1200 ft. Some of it feels vertical and some of it is across a gully. It gets crowded and there is not much room but people move over for each other going up and down. Beautiful breeze and views at the top.

I am not in shape at all. It took some time, but I made it to the top. It was a big accomplishment for me....especially after seeing the Navy there training, which they do once a week. Tips: * Go early, there is no shade. * Bring water. *There is a restroom at the bottom of the parking lot. Use... More

Even though this hike is not a long distance one, you will still get a great work out of it. There are many steps and it has a steep incline so don't let it fool you. I love doing this hike when I want a quick workout and want to see an amazing view!

This is a beautiful hike up a very steep crater. Lots of cardio going up... be careful of your knees going down. Bring water and go early, before it gets too hot. The 360 degree view at the top is spectacular, and well worth the time and energy to get there.

This is a challenging hike, but rewarded with a stunning view from the top. You might feel like you are trapped in a video game as you dodge bees and are crawling over railroad ties suspended over a ravine, but you will be glad you made the hike once you arrive to the top. It can get hot so bring... More

This is hard for people in shape so please mind your level of fitness. This is a stair workout that will make you feel the burn. The steps are uneven and not evenly spaced apart which is probably why is so hard...

This is a very streneous, and physical hike taking you up to 1600 steps to the top of Koko Head where you will find spectacular mountains and ocean views! Not recommended for children, very steep and upward climb to the top.. Takes about 2 1/2hrs or longer, depends how many stops you take. No rails available, everyone comes up and down... More

Please hydrate prior to going. Please ensure you are in shape! Ok, with that said...I loved this hike. It wore me out. Our group took our time. In fact, we stopped often. You'll see outstanding panoramic views as you drag yourself up this incredibly steep hill. People seemed to bond with one another as they grappled with the thoughts of... More
