Oahu Nature Tours promptly picked us up to start our adventure to the top of Diamond Head. We were offered walking sticks and water before we started our hike. The guide was very knowledgeable about all things such as the flora and fauna and history of Diamond Head. Unfortunately I do not remember her name but she was very patient, taking multiple stops to let others catch up or just to rest. This hike was relatively easy but definitely not recommended for those that get easily winded. The views at the top were amazing! A whole 360* view of Waikiki! The hike down was a lot easier than up and once back to the van we were given a certificate of our climb of Diamond Head.

If on the island of Oahu a Circle Island Tour is one of the "must dos"on the island. You can drive yourself but we used the fantastic Oahu Nature Tours for a long 10 hour day on a small group tour and it was fantastic. DIY means you miss out on the excellent and detailed explanations of each of the places visited. We had PE as our driver/guide and she was fantastic and could talk under water :) I meant this in a nice way as she was constantly explaining bird and plant species, the geology, history and culture of the island. There were never times of silence during our tour. Stops we covered included the beautiful Hanauma Bay, Halona Blowhole, Sandy Beach, Makapu’u Lookout, Pali Lookout, Valley of the Temples with Byodo-in Temple, Chinaman’s Hat, Malaekahana Bay and Beach Park, and then to Kahuku, home of the North Shore’ shrimp farms where we ate at Fumis, Sunset Beach, Waimea Valley and Waterfall and the last stop at the historic Dole Plantation. Highly recommended company to do this tour and thank you PE for such detailed history and information on Oahu and Hawaii.
