We had a lesson with Thomas, and he took us out we were hitting waves right away! He was a really good teacher and we would 10/10 go back!

Booked surfing lessons for me and my 11 yr old son about a month in advance. This was supposed to be the highlight of the vacation. My son had been looking forward to this more than anything else and had been anticipating the surf lesson long before we even booked. So the big day finally arrives but the instructor never showed up. I was not notified of a cancellation or anything. I called the number over and over but nobody answered. We waited and waited and called and called. My son was so disappointed he was in tears. I can't believe how unprofessional this was.

Originally booked a group lesson for my husband, myself and our 12-year old daughter. Conditions weren't great for surfing due to a lack of waves, and HSA called us prior to see if we could reschedule - they were excellent with their communication, going above and beyond to make sure we went to the right place with the right waves. Our instructor, Keoni, was fantastic and had our daughter up on the board her very first try; she fell in love with the sport, so much so, that we scheduled a second lesson for her. Keoni was once again, incredibly flexible with our vacation schedule and gave her some outstanding instruction. We cannot say enough about this company and our instructor. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a surf lesson with great customer service.

Had a great surf lesson with Tom and Joe. Tom broke everything down for us and helped us to stand up on the board our first lesson. Super positive experience, great communication with the shop leading up to the excursion as well. Highly recommend this place!!!

Thank you for this amazing experience this morning! We did surfing for the very first time and it really was fun! The spot is perfect for beginners up to untermediate level: not too crowded and nice sets of waves. Thanks to the guides Tom and Sam it took us only 15 minutes to be able to catch our first wave! It really was awesome! Thanks a lot.

Just as the other reviews have noted Thomas is a terrific instructor. Knowledgeable and personable. He made our family feel comfortable jumping in the water and paddling out with him. We each were able to ride a wave or two thanks to his help. Capt. Dan was also very kind and personable. They made our morning on and in the water very enjoyable.

We had a wonderful time with Hawaiian Surf Adventures. They were very through and professional and even arranged for our surf lesson to be on another day due to weather conditions. They were very understanding when I had to switch from being a “surf lesson attendee” to an “observer”. My boyfriend and best friend had a wonderful time learning to surf with Tom. He was caring, encouraging, extremely knowledgeable and a great teacher. They both walked away excited and ready to surf next year! I had a great time with Dan our boat driver learning more about the Bay, Hawaii and the waves!! Surfing lessons took place in a secluded bay near their office, it was perfect for learning. I highly recommend taking surf lessons from Hawaii Surf Adventures you will not be disappointed!!

We had a great time and I would highly recommend them. Never having surfed before, and having our 7 and 9 year olds with us, we had nothing to worry about. Great time!!

My husband and I had never surfed before and they provided everything we needed to learn the basics safely. We both were able to surf a few good waves before our two hour lesson ended. Thomas and sitoshe were both really great! I would recommend this to anyone ready to learn.

We had an awesome morning learning to surf! We had our two kids 8 and 10 with us. Thomas our instructor and Toshi our captain were both super helpful and informative. Thomas really helped the kids to feel comfortable riding the waves and my son was up and riding immediately. Thomas would help set us up for a wave and coach us through getting up which made it easier to understand. We had the waves to ourselves minus a few locals so we weren’t competing for waves which was wonderful. These guys definitely know what they are doing and take safety seriously. We felt confident and comfortable here. Would highly recommend!
