Beach is great. Clear blue, a little rocky in places. People on the beach were friendly. Individual serving the chairs and umbrellas needs a lesson in people skills and probably a reminder that this is a high tourist area. He alone put a bad taste...More

Pictures, stories, weapons on display from the beginnings of the fort through the attack on Pearl Harbor. This used have large defensive guns and you can see the how they worked from the displays. An interesting place worth seeing.

Our experience in the Hotel and surrounding area of Fort DeRussy is what has made us return to the area. The grounds in Fort DeRussy are beautiful, and it runs right into the adjoining Waikiki Beach. We love it and plan to return one more...More

great open space park with the Army Museum which is free. Great open space just off the main drag. Visit the museum and go down to the beach and eat at the Steak Shack. Fridays, see the fireworks from here.

This area is still a military based establishment and that is very obvious when you visit. We were lucky enough to visit with family who had a military background and therefore received very good discounts on everything. There is plenty to do here with lawn...More

A beach and a lovely park right in the middle of Waikiki? That's a winning combination. There are several picnic tables along with exercise stations along the path. The trees are full grown and provide a lot of shade from the harsh Hawaiian sun. Spread...More

Let's face it, all the Hawaiian beaches are wonderful. That said, this beach area has great proximity to local eateries and full military R&R facilities of the Hale Koa. You can't beat the location and the amenities and there is parking. Give it a go!

Stayed a little east of here, but spent a lot of time at this park and its adjoining beach. This place is good for a easy lazy day close to the busy Waikiki beach area.

the milatary resort is next door. you have to be a veteran to stay there or active. The park is next door and anyone can go there. it is no big deal, just a big grass area next to the beach.

Hale Koa hotel will suit military. As for the Ft De Russy Park, it has the museum which will suit vintage WWII enthusiasts etc.

Is there a charge to use the swimming pool? How do you get in there? Do you have to be a guest of Fort DeRussy and a military member?
