The park itself is pretty and well maintained. The Fort DeRussy museum is ok but for military buffs not really new news. It is a free museum though, which in Hawaii is truly a rare bird. The beach is nice with more sand than coral, which makes for a nicer swimming experience in my opinion. Worth spending a few moments... More

The park is part of a resort complex for military families. It is self supporting. The area is immaculate. There are many benches letting one sit and enjoy the breeze or read a book. Pathways are abundant and lighted for a nice stroll along the beach area. We would like to visit again.

We stayed in the Outrigger Waikiki Shores which is right next to this beach park. The beach is great and there is more then able green area to set up for a picnic. They also offer free covered picnic areas and there are several vendors offering lounge chair/umbrellas. Very nice way to spend the day, and it is not crowded.

Very nice and clean park. Well maintained by the military. It's an easy walk from any of the Ala Moana area resorts. Much nicer than the state park near Diamondhead.

The park and beach are just simply wonderful. The park is extremely well kept, and is a great place to rest and enjoy the scenery. The beach is simply paradise, and a spectacular place to view spectacular sunsets.

Walking down the busy street and suddenly it was quiet. We took the path less traveled away from foot traffic and walked through this quiet little park not far from hotel. Lots of green space to relax immediately next to Waikiki Beach.

A nice well kept park bordering the beach and next to the Army museum. Sit in the shade of the trees if the sun is getting to much for you or sit and watch a beautiful sunset. I used the park as part of a morning run with nice paths crisscrossing it and if your lucky a sprinkler to cool... More

Nice clean park by the beach. Peaceful away from the tourist crowd of Waikiki Beach. Plenty of room for everyone and a prime spot to see the sunset. Lots of shade and picnic tables. Very relaxing.

Very large sand area. It is not just used by active military. Great spot to sit and watch the sunset each evening.
