We had so much fun! It was definitely difficult enough to keep us guessing, but we were lucky enough to escape! We had five in our group and none of us felt like we were left out or there wasn’t enough to do. There was great sound effects and lighting. We had to solve really cool puzzles and had codes to figure out. We had to use clues from the walls, clues found in locked chests and things in the room to solve each problem to keep going. I’m not going to try to pretend like we solved everything by ourselves because our guide gave us a hint or two because we almost didn’t make it out at the end. Your guide doesn’t have to help you though (they stay hidden and you wouldn’t even know they were there if you didn’t ask for their help), so you can try to get everything all by yourself. I’m definitely going to be trying out their virtual experience after trying out the tomb today.

On a trip back home to Hawaii this past New Years, my brother suggested we go to Chambers Escape Games, to try out their virtual reality escape room. I've been curious about how VR has improved over the years and readily agreed. We (four of us) arrived on a weeknight evening (street parking, btw), and went up the stairs to find the entrance to Chambers. Their waiting room held a few other groups (Chambers has multiple rooms, some VR, some in the material world), and the check-in process was quick and efficient.
Inside our room we were quickly introduced to our gear (a VR visor, not too bulky) and a backpack containing the CPU. Our host walked us through what we would see and how we could interact with our virtual environment. With a flip of the switch, we were transported to a virtual world in which each of us was represented by an avatar of a different color. The room was small, about 20' by 20', but our avatars kept us from running into each other. Our scenario was a space station that had to be fixed, in order to stop a giant asteroid hurtling toward Earth. To say more would give too much away, but the graphics were great, the ability of the VR headsets to track our movements very precise, and the puzzles were a lot of fun and required a lot of teamwork. As an added bonus at the end they let us wander around a VR scenario they'd set up for Halloween--not a puzzle room, but rather an exploration of a haunted hospital. Overall a really fun time!

The experience was so immersive. We did both the Temple and the VR astronauts and they were really cool and well thought.
The Temple was hands down the best 3rd generation escape room I have ever been to as far as prop design, decoration, fluidity and most importantly the puzzles.
The astronaut VR was my first ever VR escape room and it was really well made. The games didn’t feel like games. They really served the story well and the gear was really high quality. The puzzles were fun and the experience was great. Thumbs all the way up.

Awesome! We have done 7 other escape rooms around the island and none of them come close to this one. Once you get inside the room you feel like you have been submerged in that world, very realistic experience. We were 2 adults and 2 teenagers, there were enough things to work on in different groups, giving everyone the possibility to play, and not crowd each other in one task, which often results in confusion and waste of time.
Challenging, yet clues are pretty straight forward so you don’t spend time trying to figure out something that doesn’t even matter to escape.
Loved it!

All I have to say is WOW! We did the in person room and it is by far the most emersive room we have ever done. You really feel like you're in the story line. Special effects were so awesome and how things work in the room were just all amazing. I brought my 2 sons for my youngests 7th birthday and the birthday boy had a blast as did my 15 year old and myself. Definitely fun for all ages. We cannot wait to go back for more, so much so I'm looking at booking another room tomorrow.

Such an amazing adventure! My family and I went for my mom‘s birthday. From the moment we stepped in the building there was a mysteriously inviting atmosphere set. The room was very challenging, but with our teamwork and the 3 clues we were
graciously provided, we made it with 3 mins to spare! This adventure should definitely be on your to do list!

A true 3rd generation escape experience with props, lights, music, and thematic immersion. The Temple escape room offers a hands-on adventure, one your family will continue to discuss long after the experience is over. Answered puzzles open hidden chambers, leading deeper into the temple. You will feel just like Dr. Jones in Indiana Jones using a satchel, lantern, keys, codes, obelisks, and bags of sand to rescue the pharaoh’s idol.
A well- thought out escape room from top to bottom and chamber to chamber! Add it to your list of things not to miss in Honolulu.

This was my first VR escape experience and it was amazing! It was medium difficulty, but super intuitive and fun to explore. Compared to live rooms, this was just so distinct, enjoyable, and interactive. On top of this, if you escape they give a magnetic badge to collect. If you collect all four, you are put up on their wall at the escape room! Highly recommend to all escapists and those looking for a fun adventure and activity.

Overall very great experience! Book ahead of time and check-in is super quick so you can start your game right away. We played their only “live” escape room as opposed to their virtual reality ones.
This “3rd generation” escape room (meaning there are automated changes that occur within the room as you progress) makes the game much more interesting than my prior experience with a “1st generation” escape room. Dim lighting and sound effects gave this an very good feel as you travel through their “Temple.” Highly recommend!
Also, 3rd generation does not mean “experienced players only.” Very possible to complete as a first-timer!

We had so much fun for my sons 19th birthday! We had only done one before and this one was much more elaborate and well conceived. Jax was great in giving us a nudge or two when needed. Thanks for such a great experience!
