It is a good place for shopping. Japanese tourists by a lot of items specially chocolates to take back to Japan. It is close to Ala Moana Center about one block away towards the mountain. It has lots of japanese products that the competitor Walmart don't have. The produce and food section is always crowded, and the bentos are delicious.

Ran into this store totally by accident and loved it. Bought bento for lunch to eat at the beach, so fresh, so yummy and definitely highly recommended. They also have a lot imported goods/food from japan, so it’s really nice experience. There’s 3 store, one in holululu, not far from Waikiki, but not a walking distance. Another one is in pearl city so if you are visiting the pearl Harbour, that’s good time to stop by too. You can buy gifts too.

One of the best places for prepared food because of selection, flavor, and cost. Especially good are corn beef and cabbage, roast pork with gravy, and prime rib. Available by the pound which is a great buy, or a plate lunch. They also have salmon belly which is delicious, miso butterfish, and Japanese style fried pork with or without curry. There is also a nice selection of sashimi plates, prepared plate lunches, and an assortment of vegetables. This is a great stop for either lunch or dinner on the go any day of the week. There is plenty of free parking. And, there are numerous restaurants next to the entrance to satisfy almost any hunger.

For those familiar with the brand, this location will be slightly smaller than the ones you'd come across in Tokyo, naturally, but it's still fairly sizable and full of great finds! I ended up getting several great snacks, a box of Japanese bath salts, and even some cool underwear. One the way out, I got a shrimp tempura bento. Ideal shopping trip? It is for me!

So...Don Quijote is kinda iconic, depending on what video games you play. Its part of why I visited. But regardless, it beat out pretty much every other convenience store I went to on the island. Tons of imported and domestic goods, reasonably priced "Hawaii" type souvenirs, and actually REALLY GOOD food. Ended up going back several times throughout our vacation for snacks and quick lunches from their indoor deli-type section and their outdoor food court. Fresh fruit mochi and a katsu sandwich? 10/10

I love shopping at Don Quijote but I have to say it has changed recently to have a lot more merchandise. The food is still good but it will take some getting used to the new layout. Find all of your local specialties here for less money.

We walked about 2 hours and it was great. The snacks were yummy, too. There’s soooo much to see and do. Friendly staff, delicious treats, we thought this was a great place to spend time at. The shop keepers were delightful. Very thoughtful!

When I go to Honolulu, the first thing I do after checking into the hotel is take the #2 bus to Don Quijote - a discount mega-store that has EVERYTHING you will need for your trip at the best prices in the city. The grocery area is fantastic - freshly made sushi and musubi, all kinds of prepared foods as well as fresh foods and packaged foods to stock your hotel refrigerator. An excellent place to buy gifts, locally produced and/or the touristy "Hawaiian" stuff (made elsewhere) that you will find in high-priced shops in Waikiki. All manner of body-care products, housewares, and even a new and used bookstore and music store are here! Plus, some of the best take out food joints are on the outside of the store. It is a great go-to place for those of us traveling on a limited budget, without sacrificing quality.

I thought Don Quijote only exist in Japan but I was wrong! I was really excited to find one in Honolulu. It's like a Japanese version of Walmart but Its got a better selection of Asian products with great price AND it's open 24 hours! I find the macadamia nut chocolates here are cheaper than Walmart. I always buy all my souvenir here rather than Walmart or ABC store.

Every time I am in Honolulu I visit Don Quijote Supermarket. Not only do they have every food and beverage item you need but it is also a cultural experience. If you are from Japan or just love Japanese food this is the store to visit. Sushi to noodles and everything in between is at Donkeys. Great beer and wine selection, meat, fish, deli, poke and Locally grown and imported produce. Decent prices too. Coffee from all over Hawaii is all here. Frankly I find it way to expensive to eat out when I am in town so I make this my first stop and cook small meals in the condo. It is also surrounded by several Asian restaurants where you can get a quick bite. Also cheap souvenirs to take home. A fun shopping experience in Honolulu..
