Back in the 1970's I had the privilege of living just a short walk of Kahala Beach. Enjoyed many a good swims there. I didn't realize that there can be a strong current. One day it seemed I was trying to swim back and realized I was still being taken out further. Be careful.

What a beautiful beach Kahala Beach is. We went on a Sunday which was incredibly busy, and it made it difficult to park but still I would really recommend it. We bought lunch from Wholefoods and had a picnic lunch on benches nearby and then went swimming, which was such a lovely way to spend some time. The beach and water are beautiful. Well worth a visit if you love the beach and swimming in the ocean.

A good beach even though it’s not a “soft sand” beach. Not crowded - we went on a Saturday afternoon. Has rinse off stations and bathrooms. Very peaceful.

Beautiful beach just next to a park, a few resorts and tennis club and one restaurant. Romantic in the evening during the sunset..

Kahala beach has several access road from Kahala Avenue. 133-A, B, C are some of them.
Kids friendly quiet beach. So, maybe good for play with young toddler.
The place does not have public bath room. Next to Waialae country club area has a park which has public bath room and shower.
Parking will be street, so please do not bring valuables to go there.
You may have wonderful memory.

What a great place to sit and enjoy a couple of quiet drinks and the view. We had a lot of fun with a deckchair looking at the kite surfer the surfers the canoeists and the scenery.

The beach is kid friendly and it is warm waters and apart from a strong tide very easy to handle.

We stayed near the Diamond Head and walked in the morning along Kahala Ave and onto the beach through the beach access . Walk along the beach, passed the Beach Park, passed the kahala Hotel and right to the end and lied down on the grass. Very peaceful and relaxing . You can drive to the Wai'alae Beach park and park there.

There are many beautiful beaches and bays on Oahu and this is up there with the best of them.

It's truly beautiful and tranquil even with The Kahala resort in the background.

Well worth a visit especially if you are staying in Waikiki to get away from the crowds.

The Kahala Beach Park itself is a bit rocky, and can doesn't have a very serene atmosphere. However, if you walk along the beach a bit in either direction, you find awesome stretches of sand with barely anybody else around.
We tended to walk down to the Kahala Resort to use their beach, just bc it was nice, and you can then get easy access to clean bathrooms in their lobby, and food/drink at their restaurants.
If you walk along the beach away from the resort, there are always fri friendly dogs going on walks or playing fetch in the ocean.
