UH Manoa is a multi-cultural amazing outdoor campus that sits above Honolulu in the valley below the Koolau Mtns. Fabulous place if you are lucky to call it "my school!"

Two buses, one being the 13 and the 6 I believe is the other get to Manoa. Such a beautiful campus with beautiful greenery right throughout and the Manoa shopping center a 10minute walkway and great facilities of the libraries and gym! Great lunch center and cafeteria too!lovely to walk about and explore if just visiting

My favorite thing about this campus were the strange trees I haven't seen elsewhere in the world! I spent a few weeks here in one of the dorms, attending a seminar at the East-West center. I liked finding some of the on-campus food carts and small places to eat. (There's a dearth of nearby good restaurants that I could find.)... More

We visited and took a campus tour! It was well organized tour and we felt very good to be on the campus! Of course, my little girl was smiling the whole time thinking it could be her future home. When you reside on campus, they offer so many social activities with free food that will keep you out of trouble!... More

If you want to get away from the tourist stuff this is a good choice. The Bus #13 gets you there from Waikiki. It's fun to see the students doing their academic thing. The campus looks old. Don't expect the upkeep like in the tourist areas. You can get a cheap meal in the student housing cafe or in the... More

Went on a field trip with a school and enjoyed listening to the indigenous Hawaiian tutors talk about how the University caters for indigenous Hawaiians. They specially welcomed us into a special house and took us for a tour of their waterways with it's history and took us for a campus tour of the sports venues, arena, campus store, looked... More

I travel solo to Honolulu in order to enjoy the weather and visit local friends, but there are times when I need to self entertain. I like to walk so adventure far from the hub of Honolulu. Three times I have walked (uphill to get there but not terribly far) to the campus of Hawaii's Manoa Uni. Don't bother. Aside... More

Get over there and take one in. Quality product on the floor. Game day staff works hard and is pleasant. A nice change of pace from typical tourist scene.

We were in search of University of Hawaii souvenirs and also wanted to see the campus. A ways from Waikiki but we got a cab there and took a local bus back. Great way to interact with the locals.
