Everyone in Honolulu knew where the iconic Hilo Hattie's was located. It closed recently and relocated to the Ala Moana Mall. Now it's just another 'mall store' in a mall that's getting bigger and bigger by the day. Gone are the trolleys that would pick up and drop off at or near the major hotels that made visiting the store... More

We always take guests we've brought with us to Hilo Hattie's, as it's kind of a cultural icon. However, the old iconic store on Nimitz Highwoay is now closed, and the store is now located at Ala Moana Mall. It took us over 30 minutes to find a parking place in the mall lot, then another 20 minutes to walk... More

If you find yourself in Oahu, you owe it to yourself to check out Hilo Hattie's! While some might call it "kitschy," the fact of the matter is that this is a one stop shopping place for all your souvenirs! Clothing, trinkets, food, housewares...you name it, they have it!

We used to like going to Hilo Hatties for fun, The main store in Honolulu is closed (which our guide book didn't know). There is a very small store in Ala Moana Shopping Center which isn't worth going to. The stores on the other islands are still nice - but skip it on Oahu.

The coffee display was neat! The free shell lei was beautiful! The cosmetics girl was pushy. We picked out a lot of nice things in the shop for our relatives & were happy to find that they'd deliver it. But then they just left it sitting on the counter with the box open while checking out customers. Weeks later, at... More

Came to the shop 2 years ago when it was in its old premises and was part of the shuttle with Maui Divers! Tried to find it today and its located in a shopping centre car park! Small premises and didnt have the range of goods as it did two years ago! Was sooooo disappointed! The staff were lovely and... More

My wife and I visited the famous hawaiian shop last year to purchase some genuine shirts and were certainly not disappointed. There were shirts of all shapes, sizes and colours and I believe - I bought most of them. We even had a chance to open some oysters and were lucky enough to open a pair of pink pearls, which... What a great place to find beautiful Hawaiian treasures, sadly they have downsized, but the treasures are still there.

They have changed over they years. They used to give lots of samples and had lot of brands of candies and coffees and cookies, etc. and now seem to carry mostly their own brand. It is still an interesting place to go. They do make it plain they are not a free shuttle to the malls, but make stops on... More
