Overview
More
Since opening in January 1999, the Battleship Missouri Memorial has attracted more than 8-million visitors from around the world with a fascinating tour experience showcasing the USS Missouri’s unique place in history. Located a mere ship’s length from the USS Arizona Memorial, the Mighty Mo completes a historical visitor experience that begins with the “day of infamy” and sinking of the USS Arizona in Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, and ends with Japan’s formal surrender aboard the USS Missouri in Tokyo Bay on September 2, 1945. The USS Missouri had an astounding career over five decades and three wars – World War II, the Korean War, and Desert Storm – after which it was decommissioned and donated to the USS Missouri Memorial Association, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The Association operates the Battleship Missouri Memorial as a historic attraction and oversees her care and preservation with the support of visitors, memberships, grants, and donations.

Dom was our guide for the tour below deck. She was quite informative and knowledgeable. It was fascinating to see the insides and to imagine 3000 men stacked up. There are such tight quarters. For below deck, you must be able to climb steep ladders....More

The displays and the associated history at this site, in and around the ship bring history into a clear light and highlight the extent the US played in changing history. A must see if in Hawaii.

It's huge! The tour was extensive and you could just feel the overwhelming power within this battleship. I think it could take out most countries militaries by itself. What an awesome piece of American History.

We are residents of O'ahu and love to take people to the Missouri. Standing on the exact spot where the treaty to end World War II was signed is an amazing "chicken-skin" (goose-bump) moment. The Missouri is de-commissioned but it still has a lot to...More

well worth the entry fee, the ship is huge with lots to explore, they have free guided tours after your paid entry or you can explore yourself, some steps to negotiate for the less mobile may be a challenge.

I can't believe I spent 2 hours wandering around this grand ship and still missed some areas. Having such extensive access to most areas of the ship gives a great insight into how life must be aboard.

We have been to Hawaii twice now and both times visited here and did not disappoint either time. It is so worth the visit. Put this on your list.

Deck side is awesome and huge museum below deck. Could spend a whole day here. Cool to see all the living quarters and how life aboard ship was.

This tour offered a guide, highly recommend doing the ship with a guide as they are so educational and knowledgable, ship is so fascinating and has been well maintained. Pity the photos they take at the start are so expensive

You should be fine. Travel between Arizona and museum is about 15-20 minutes. There is a lot of history on site with museums at Pearl Harbor but the actual Arizona is a 20 minute movie and then to site and back for total... More
