The food wasn't impressive. Not horrible but just "okay." What was amazing and spectacular was the entertainment! The show that was put on by the entertainers was top-notch. So fantastic that I would happily pay again for my family of four to watch this luau again just for the show alone. My 8 year old and my 2 1/2 year... More

The food was not great...the pork was really good, but the rest of the food was edible, but not good. The dancing was EXCELLENT and the singing was so-so...I have no idea why they made the lounge singer the 'star' of the show.

We had a great time overall. The show was great and very entertaining. The staff (aside from waitstaff) was friendly and our kids really enjoyed the activities before the show. They had lei making, tattoos, ukulele lessons and a few other things. We did run into a couple of food issues which was disappointing after making an extra call to... More

Went to the luau on July 5. You do not need a military ID to purchase tickets online but you do need an ID to get in! The staff was very friendly! We took a family picture upon entering which was later available as an 8x10 for $15. (I thought that was a good price.) My kids (13, 12, 9)... More

While staying at the Hale Koa, our family went to the Luau on-site as well. Upon entering, you are greeted with a beverage (mai tai or punch for kids), and the many activities everyone gets to try. Show up early (at least 30 minutes) to be first in line for the best seats for the showcase! Everyone got to make... More

YOU NEED A MILITARY ID FOR THIS. I you are not military or DOD employee you cannot attend this activity. It was a wonderful show. The food was typical luau food, but the show was wonderful. I dare you not to get choked up during the finale.

Great luau and great pricing. I recommend booking online in advance for seating near the stage. If you are staying at the Hale Koa and looking for a fun experience, look no further. The festivities start at 5:30. There are different stations where you can learn how to make leis or braid grass headband. My kids (11 and 13) absolutely... More

For us this was the best luau we attended on our vacation. Both the food and entertainment were second to none. If your military/government this is the luau you want to attend. It was also nice that its right on the hotel grounds. We had a wonderful time at a very reasonable rate. If staying at the Hale Koa you... More

We went there for a Luau not wanting to spend too much while still being close to Waikiki. It is a military hotel and very patriotic. We are Canadians and we had tickets and went in without a hitch. The only problem we had was with our online tickets; we had the same seating number as other people. It was... More
