Many artifacts , historical data, interpretive displays and cultural explanations help frame the status of the world in December, 1941. Recorded history from actual participants is invaluable.

Interesting to see in person and read what happened there. We were told this is free to visit, but getting in is near impossible on your own, because of all the paid tours that attend daily.

Plan to stay for several hours. There is so much to do there and so much to read, watch and absorb. You will want to time to enjoy it all without feeling rushed. A must see for all who come to Oahu.

What we were taught in school about Pearl Harbor did not do it justice. Yes, we were told that people died but never did we really get the full force of what happened on that day.

Be prepared to spend at least 3-4 hours here as there is a lot of information. It's a bit too commercialized, but still think it's worth the visit. The introduction movie is very good.
