Beaches are my 💙. Clear beautiful water. Nice waves to enjoy. Great for snorkeling. There’s a lagoon for small children or for wading. Not too crowded like Waikiki Beach. There’s a shower and bathroom near by. Two volleyball nets close by as well.

This beach is just a bit further down the coast from Waikiki and is easily walkable from there. It has great snorkelling there and we saw more fish there than we saw at Hanauma Bay. The snorkelling is particularly good near the jetty at the far side of the beach. This is a great place to come and relax and also to see the sunset.
It gets pretty rocky in the water not far from shore, so be careful not to cut yourself on the rocks like we did. There are lifeguards on duty of you get need assistance.

If you are driving to a beach near Honlulu to snorkel, you should drive to Hanauma Bay. But if you are staying at the zoo-end of Waikiki and don't have a car or don't have a lot of time, Queen’s Beach has everything I want very conveniently located: Usually there is an abundance of fish, and also nice waves for body surfing. The water can sometimes be a bit murky but most of the time I was able to see quite well and even do underwater photography (see pictures- I snorkeled here 4 times but the best pictures were all from the last day). I snorkeled primarily at the west end of Queen’s beach just east of the pier. On the last day, of my visit I also snorkeled at the east end just west of the wall, but the fish and water clarity were better at the west end. I snorkeled exclusively in the mornings, and 8-9AM seemed to be a very good time, with lots of fish and reasonable clarity. The one day I took my snorkel out around 7AM I saw almost no fish and the lighting/clarity was poor (sunrise was around 6:30).

There are many beautiful beaches in Hawaii however, Queen’s Beach would not make it on the list of top beaches.
I became familiar with Queen’s Beach simply because my son’s surf lessons took place at this location. There are many people who use this beach for activities such as surfing and paddle boarding. There is a park near the beach so it is a nice place to just hang out, relax, and watch the crowds. Queen’s Beach serves its purpose for those activities but definitely not the most beautiful beach on the Island of Oahu and not the worst either. It is simply a Hang Loose location.

Everywhere in Hawaii is beautiful and this beach is no exception, however there are no waves and all of the swimming areas are rocky. Not sure why anyone would go to this beach

Perfect stretch of sand to relax, sightsee and sunbath on Waikiki. Our Hotel provided us with a Beach Umbrella, some chairs and Beach towels, we stopped at a local ABC store to get water, snacks and a few White Claws. It was nice setting up camp, catching up on our PodCasts, AudioBooks, music and hometown gossip. The water is sallow and crystal clear, making it very ideal to just hang and cool down in the water. The Pier along Waikiki is beautiful, walking along it you’ll get 1st hand water action and the most breathtaking view of the Skyline.

I don't like writing negative reviews. I'd rather brag on someone or some place. Waikiki, however, makes me sad. It is so beautiful. The city, or state, however, has let it be taken over by homeless and/or drug addicts. I was there with my wife and two teenage daughters. Sorry to expose them to the language, filth and overall sorry state of things at the beach. Hawaii is so great. Don't waste your time and money here. Drive to another beach or fly to another island. I give it three stars because of the beautiful setting but really it probably deserves lower. Shame.

The snorkeling here is pretty decent. I wouldn't plan a trip around getting to snorkel at the location, but as a way to do something other than lay on the beach, it's a solid activity for an hour.
We swam out along with wall and the water never got more than 5 feet deep. Quite a few fish and some coral--nothing extraordinary, but enough to keep interested.
We were there at high tide and there were only a few feet of sand that were above the waterline, so not much room for basking, but enough space to put down your towel. We did appreciate that it was much less crowded than further north on the beach.
It was also nice there was a freshwater shower for afterwards.
Also, we saw some reviews talking about homeless people and being worried about belongings disappearing while snorkeling. For what it's worth, we didn't feel threatened and didn't have our stuff taken, but did bring a small container to keep our cash on us while we were snorkeling.

We went there in the evening and were surprised at how sparsely it was occupied, but it made for a lovely and peaceful walk. Also, parking was free at this end of Waikiki. The walk from the parking lot to the beach goes through Queen's Park which is beautifully lined with trees (native to India). Enjoyed the Queen's Statue; it is lovely place to take pictures.

We came back on our return visit to Honolulu to visit my favorite beach on Waikiki. Love the sand and surf, but also the park in the background.

I think that the water would be too rough.
