If you enjoy drinking high quality beer in a great atmosphere, you’ll enjoy this brewery. They have a nice selection of beers and their pretzel bites are delicious. Every time we are in the area, we make a point to visit this brewery and they consistently have good service. Thankful that this brewery is in town!!

So called as Clarkdale was built as a smelter complex processing copper ore from the mines in Jerome. Very cool 100 year old revitalized building in downtown Clarkdale. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the beers. We were able to taste a couple before choosing a two tasty IPAs. Pretzel bites and beer cheese are available. On certain days, there is live music and a food truck.

A really nice little spot. My wife and I had spent a few days in the Cottonwood area, and after a visit to Jerome, we stopped by this little brewery. Friendly service and a small, but very cute location.

The beer selection was pretty minimal, and the "special beer" was all tapped out. But we still found a couple of selections we liked and had tasty pretzel bites, and enjoyed our downtime.

This is really a 4.5 star spot...I'm dinging it a star because of the limited selection. But it has a great, woody vibe and the service was friendly. I wish them much luck (they are still quite new) and hope to visit when we return to the area next.

Great corner locations with big windows and overlook of the Mingus mountains. Watch the sunset while you’re siping in the delicious local beers! Modern decor, super friendly atmosphere. Perfect addition to the historic Clarkdale. Great beer!

First of all, Clarkdale is a nice, quiet, and interesting place away from the Sedona madness. And the brewery/bar is really nice. Friendly people, and an excellent hazy IPA. Nice patio area outside too, across from the park. Felt at home right away here.

One of the BEST breweries we've been to in AZ. The beers are well crafted, unique, and super tasty. In a really nice space, too.

This brewery and its adjacent hotel upstairs have brought life back to a long-dormant vintage building on Clarkdale's Main Street/historic 89A, and in doing so, bring a new buzz to this sleepy town. Clarkdale was once the company town for the United Verde Copper Company, 1911-1956. The Smelter Town Brewery's opening was much anticipated, even more so as Covid pushed it back from spring to autumn.

As a local, I'd watched the renovations take shape and the building awaken with renewed style, all while retaining its fundamental history and character. The first time I saw the lights on indoors one night I nearly cried, I was so full of joy. I'd never, in nearly 20 years, seen lights on. The owners are hard-working, friendly folks and have put much thought, creativity and charm into every aspect of the operation.

Most importantly: the beer. Whoo boy. It is exceptional. My past experiences tasting inaugural beers at new breweries have given me the impression it sometimes might take some time to find footing. Not the case here. These folks hit it out of the park from day one. Our favorite is the Modern Miner Milkshake IPA, hazy and faintly sweet, but their Hop Deposits IPA and Slag Out Stout were runners-up. The Steel Stack Wheat is also full of cloudy character. Their brewmaster has got it dialed in! I look forward to tasting every new brew they create.

Fantastic stuff, and growlers may be purchased to take home.
